Over half of Americans favor doctor-assisted suicide. This is the idea that doctors can provide life ending measures at the request of a patient. How should Christians think about this practice?
Well the Bible describes God as the sovereign Lord over both life and death. Our life is in God’s hands, not our own, and we don’t have the authority to decide when a life—including our own—should end.
And taking a life as a doctor is murder. And the Bible is clear on that subject—“do not murder.”
This whole idea is sold as “compassion,” but it’s nothing short of murder. Christians must defend the sanctity of all life.
