When others seek to humble you in their pride, don't let your own pride keep you from crying out to God.
Today is my oldest son's birthday and this past weekend he surprised my husband and me by sharing a video about how much he loves his Dad and posting a Go Fund Me for my husband's cancer treatment that Insurance is not paying for. So my husband is my kinsman redeemer who stepped into my life as a single mom in the wake of utterly devastating circumstances. And he stepped in as a Dad of 5 kids. It is not lost on me that the word of the day is "proud". We should not be too proud to receive help. We have been overwhelmed by the kindness, prayers and support, so I just wanted to take a couple of seconds to share that. Thank you! The link to his video is on this post online.
Bible Reading: Psalms 123–125
Verse of the day: Psalm 123:4, "Our soul has had more than enough of the scorn of those who are at ease, of the contempt of the proud."
Word of the day: Proud. It is the Hebrew word: גַּאֲיוֹן (gah-ah-yone').
