Have you ever pulled a Major Arcana card and noticed its message playing out in your life for days—or even weeks—after? Here's why… Each of the 22 Major Arcana archetypes highlight major themes that occur throughout our lives. When we tap into those themes, we start seeing how they show up for us in reality… which helps us see ourselves more clearly. And when we're able to feel seen and witnessed through the lessons of the cards, we can then take action to make positive change. Healer and Tarot practitioner Chelsey May Orsmond has built a thriving business around helping people transform their lives through Tarot in this way. In our conversation together, Chelsey shares with me how she harnesses the Major Arcana as a potent tool for personal growth and development. If AI can generate a Tarot reading in seconds and card meanings are available everywhere for free, why would anyone pay more for a human Tarot reading? It's easy to assume that the value of Tarot readings is going down. But that is only true if what you're offering is information. When you bring intuition, presence, human connection, trust and real transformation into your readings, you're creating something that cannot be easily copied or generated. You're creating an experience. And that experience may be far more valuable than you realize. Yet many Tarot readers still struggle to charge accordingly. They worry that charging for their spiritual gifts is greedy, that meaningful work should be freely given or that keeping their prices low makes them more caring and accessible. In this sixth episode of our special 7-part series, we're exploring what makes a Tarot reading genuinely valuable, why your pricing may still reflect an earlier version of you and how to create a fair and sustainable exchange for the experience you provide. Episode Highlights In this episode, you'll discover: [00:53] Why the value of information is falling while the value of an exceptional human Tarot reading is rising [02:04] Why competing with AI by making your readings cheaper is the wrong response [03:34] How beliefs about spirituality and money may be causing you to undercharge [04:48] Why a natural spiritual or intuitive gift can still hold significant value [06:27] The deeper question underneath your discomfort with charging more [07:21] The three elements that make a Tarot reading valuable: experience, expertise and impact [08:37] Why two readings of the same length can deliver completely different value [12:00] How to move beyond charging only for your time and create a fair, sustainable exchange Reflection Questions Take an honest look at the Tarot readings you create. Does your current pricing reflect the reader you are today, or an earlier version of you? What kind of experience do you create for your clients? What skills have you developed that now feel so natural that you may be taking them for granted? And what becomes possible for someone because they have spent that time with you? To go deeper, you might like to pull one Tarot card and ask: What do I need to recognize about the value of the work I create? Then choose one practical way to honor that value. Perhaps you improve one part of the client experience. Perhaps you communicate more clearly what your clients receive. Or perhaps you review whether your pricing truly reflects the quality, skill and impact you bring to each reading. Episode Transcript Click here to read the full transcript.

Right now, almost anyone can call themselves a professional Tarot reader. They can create an online presence, publish insightful-sounding content and generate personalized readings for paying clients - all using AI. From the outside, it may be almost impossible to tell how much genuine skill or experience sits behind what you see. As more of our online world becomes artificial, clients will no longer be asking only, "Can this person give me a Tarot reading?" They'll also be asking: "Is this person real?" "Do they actually know what they're talking about?" "Can I trust the guidance they're giving me?" Trust is becoming one of the most important ways a Tarot reader can stand apart. But trust isn't created through a polished website or a confident bio. It's built through how you show up, how you hold the reading and how seriously you take the responsibility that comes with guiding another person. In this fifth episode of our special 7-part series, we're exploring the three qualities that make a Tarot reader genuinely trustworthy: professionalism, responsibility and credibility. Episode Highlights In this episode, you'll discover: [00:29] Why it's becoming harder to tell whether a Tarot reader has genuine skill and experience [01:26] Why trust will become one of the most valuable qualities a human Tarot reader can offer [02:19] The responsibility you hold when someone places their trust in your guidance [04:26] Why knowing the Tarot cards isn't enough when a client becomes emotional or asks you to make a decision for them [06:10] What professionalism looks like in a Tarot reading, without becoming formal or corporate [07:45] How to communicate difficult messages while protecting the client's agency [09:04] The difference between appearing credible and having real skill behind your confidence [10:07] How practical experience, feedback, mentorship and certification can help you become a more trustworthy reader Reflection Questions Think about your own Tarot practice and the experience you create for others. Which of these three areas are you being called to strengthen - professionalism, responsibility or credibility? Perhaps it's communicating more clearly, holding stronger boundaries or staying grounded when a reading becomes emotional. Perhaps it's gaining more experience, seeking feedback or developing a reliable method you can trust when something unexpected happens. To explore this further, you might like to pull one Tarot card and ask: What quality will help me become a Tarot reader others naturally trust? Then choose one practical way to develop that quality in your next reading. Because trust isn't something you can simply claim. It's something the client experiences through the way you show up, the way you hold the reading and the care you've taken to develop your skills. For generations, Tarot was treated like a crystal ball. You asked what was going to happen, the reader interpreted the cards, and you waited to see whether the prediction came true. But Tarot is evolving. Today, people don't just want a glimpse of the future. They want to understand what's shaping it. They want to recognize the patterns influencing their choices, see where their power lies and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. This changes everything. Tarot is shifting from a tool that predicts your future into one that helps you consciously create it. And the role of the Tarot reader is changing with it. Our job is no longer to deliver answers from a position of authority. It's to help people see what they couldn't see before, reconnect with their own wisdom and make empowered choices about what happens next. In this fourth episode of our special 7-part series, we're exploring how to move beyond prediction and create Tarot readings that don't simply tell people what might happen - they help people change what happens next. Episode Highlights In this episode, you'll discover: [01:05] Why people are turning to Tarot for more than predictions and quick answers [04:10] The difference between using Tarot as a crystal ball and using it as a mirror [02:51] How prediction can leave someone waiting passively for the future to happen [05:31] How to reframe predictive questions to create greater awareness and choice [06:54] Why involving the client makes a Tarot reading more empowering [08:10] How to help someone move from insight into meaningful action [09:04] Why the client, not the reader, should be the hero of the reading [13:44] How the role of the Tarot reader is evolving from authority to trusted guide Reflection Questions Think about the Tarot readings you currently give. Do you simply interpret the cards and offer a likely outcome? Or do you help the person see what's shaping that outcome - and what they can influence or change? To go deeper, you might like to pull a Tarot card and ask, How can I make my Tarot readings more empowering and transformational? Then practice one shift in your next reading. Reframe a predictive question to open up more choice. Invite the client to share what they see. Because the best Tarot readings don't make people dependent on the reader. They help people trust themselves. Episode Transcript Click here to read the full transcript.
