A number of years ago the media excitedly announced that scientists had proved the big bang. Many Christians were troubled as the big bang contradicts God’s Word. But it turned out, well, the find wasn’t actually proof of the big bang.

It was supposed confirmation of cosmic inflation, a rescuing device for the big bang. But then it turned out it wasn’t even proof of cosmic inflation at all, but probably just the result of dust!

It’s a reminder that news reports shouldn’t shake our faith in God’s Word. Because God’s Word is true, scientists’ findings will eventually confirm God’s Word as more research is done.
