David is the director of Team Architecture Ltd, who’s aim is to help coaches to develop connection, collaboration and cohesion between the people and their teams. In his day job, David is an English teacher in London, a rugby union coach at the HAC, and writer of the Great White Sharkey blog. David is influencing the coaching world on theming in coaching, and since June 2020 has been working as a consultant with Roman O’Gara at La Rochelle. Where in that time O’Gara has helped La Rochelle to two major milestones: their first ever Top14 and Champions Cup Finals. David joins Kris and Harrison to discuss coaching through themes.

Jack is a Mental Skills Coach at Quinns, and has previous worked with Connacht Rugby in the Pro 14. Jack works with players and coaches in mastering the mental side of their game. Jack holds a Masters in Performance Psychology and has developed frameworks and programs to support his participants in mastering the fundamentals of Mental Performance under pressure. His focus is to support them to tap into the power of the mind, and push the limits of their potential.

This week on The Big Breakdown: A Coaching Podcast we are joined by General Manager of Hurricane's Rugby Union Tony Philp. Tony was a professional rugby union player at the Chiefs, before becoming a rugby development manager. In 2006 Tony joined Japan Rugby as a High Performance Manager, and joined in NZ 7s program in 2007. In this role Tony supported the team in achieving successive victories and multiple Olympic and Commonwealth medals as well as winning the Rugby World Cup Sevens. In September 2021, Tony joined the Hurricanes as General Manager and has just finished a pre season in preparation for the new Super Rugby Season. Tony joins Kris and Harrison to discuss the theme of Planning and Periodisation, and it is one NOT to be missed.
