November 17, 20222022 World Cup Preview with Tom JacobsIn today's episode, Tom Jacobs and I preview the 2022 World Cup, which begins in Qatar Sunday. We start by giving our favorite World Cup memories. Tom remembers the vuvuzelas from the South Africa World Cup in 2010. He also loved Harry Maguire's header against Sweden in 2018. Being an American, I still remember the USMNT's monumental upset over Portugal and the Round-of-16 win over Mexico in 2002. With Qatar hosting a Fall/Winter World Cup, we talk about how football's biggest event will be in November-December compared to a traditional Summer World Cup in June-July. With England the USMNT in the same group, we look back a a couple previous World Cup meetings. The U.S. beat England in one of the World Cup's biggest upsets in 1950. In 2010, England goalkeeper Rob Green's famous gaffe helped the Americans get a 1-1 draw in South Africa. Tom then asks me whether this year's USMNT is better than the 2010 WC squad. I believe this team is better with several guys playing with big European clubs like Christian Pulisic and Gio Reyna. With England and the USMNT playing on Black Friday, we talk about whether the Americans or Three Lions will prevail. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are likely playing in their final World Cup for Portugal and Argentina respectively. We talk about Ronaldo and Messi's chances of finally lifting football's biggest trophy in Qatar. We both believe Messi and Argentina have got an easier path to a World Cup Final. Before giving out our winning picks, Tom tries to stump me with some World Cup trivia. We then decide which country will win the World Cup. To no one's surprise, we both like Brazil to end a 20-year drought and capture football's greatest prize in Qatar....more36minPlay
November 14, 2022Week 10 Recap with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex Bleuel and I recap a memorable Week 10 in the 2022 NFL season. First, we look back at 2022's game of the year between the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills. In a game with 63 points, countless turns, and surprises, the Vikings won this instant classic 33-30. Was Justin Jefferson's amazing catch better than Odell Beckham's unbelievable catch against the Dallas Cowboys? Could the Bills have taken a safety before Josh Allen fumbled on the goal line after stopping Minnesota on fourth down. The Bills still could have won the game, but Allen threw a game-ending interception to Patrick Peterson. With the Bills not scoring a second-half touchdown in their last three games. Allen also leads the NFL in Ints. What is the concern level in Buffalo? Are the Bills missing Brian Dabool, who became the NY Giants head coach? Then, we move onto the latest chapter of the Dallas Cowboys-Green Bay Packers rivalry, which resulted in a 31-28 overtime win for the Pack? Dallwa was up 28-14 before giving up the final 17 points. Why do the Cowboys disappoint in big games? Is Dak Prescott good enough to win? How did the Cowboys let GB rush for over 200 yards? Is Christian Watson becoming Aaron Rodgers' No. 1 receiving option? While yesterday was Mike McCarthy's homecoming back in Green Bay, a critical decision will be remembered for the rest of this season. In overtime, Dallas went for fourth and five in overtime. Should the Cowboys have kicked the field goal or go for the first down on fourth down? We move onto Jeff Saturday's head coaching debut, which came in a 25-20 win for the Colts over the Las Vegas Raiders. Jonathan Taylor Rushed for over 100 yards while Matt Ryan completed 75 percent of his passes in the win. While Saturday's coaching debut garnered intrigue, the Raiders lost their seventh game - adding more steam on Josh McDaniels' hot seat. Why can't the Raiders win with Derek Carr, Josh Jacobs, and Davante Adams? Finally, Alex and I give a memorable rant where we each rank three young quarterbacks in LA's Justin Herbert, Chicago's Justin Fields, and Miami's Tua Tagovailoa....more35minPlay
November 09, 2022UFC 281 Preview with Billy WardIn today's episode, Fantasy Labs/ActionNetwork MMA writer Billy Ward and I preview UFC 281 taking place at Madison Square Garden in New York on Nov. 12. First, we look at one of 2022's most anticipated fights for UFC Middleweight bout between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira. Earlier in their MMA careers, Pereira won two non-UFC bouts against Adesanya. We look into how much the previous wins will help Pereira against one of the UFC's most consistent winners. Then, we look at the Women's Strawweight title fight between Carla Esparza and Zhang Weili. Despite Carla being the reigning champ, Zhang is looking like the heavy favorite heading in this fight. We look at which woman will win the belt. Zhang's extra power could play a role into whether she will win this fight. After the title fights, we give out our favorite fights, bets, and DFS plays for Saturday's PPV card at MSG. ...more26minPlay
November 02, 2022What's wrong with the Bucs with Bandy? In this episode, Bandy and I try to answer what is wrong with Tom Brady and the Tampa bay Bucs? Over the first eight games of 2022, Tampa is 3-5 and trails the Atlanta Falcons by one game in the NFC South.. Heading into a pivotal Week 9 tilt with the LA Rams, we look at what's wrong with the Bucs, and whether Tampa can recover from a tough 1-5 stretch. ...more27minPlay
October 31, 2022Week 8 Review with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex and I talk about Week 8 of the 2022 NFL Season. First, we talk about the Buffalo Bills beating the Green Bay Packers 27-17. Despite the win, we were not entirely impressed with the Bills against the depleted Packers. Despite just 203 passing yards from Aaron Rodgers, GB racked up more total yards. Aaron Jones totaled 157 yards. The Packers also won the turnover, and GB limited Josh Allen to just 218 passing yards. Buffalo also seemed more chippy than usual despite not having been to a Super Bowl in almost 30 years. I also ask why the Bills are leaning on Allen and not giving Devin Singletary more carries. Then, we talk about a wild NFC South encounter between the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons, which ended with fireworks and drama. With the Falcons up 34-28, D.J. Moore caught a Hail Mary to tie the game, but in removing his helmet, a 15-yard penalty pushed back the extra point to a 48-yard attempt. Unfortunately for Carolina, Eddy Pineiro missed the extra points and a 32-yard field goal to win the game in overtime. After a couple key Marcus Mariota plays, Younghoe Koo won it on n a 41-yard field goal late in overtime to put the Falcons on top in the NFC South. We move onto our favorite Week 8 running back performance. Alex loves Christian McCaffrey becoming the first player since Ladainian Tomlinson in 2005 to run, catch, and throw a touchdown in a 31-14 NFC West domination over the LA Rams. I pick Derrick Henry's fourth straight 200-yard game against the Houston Texans despite Tennessee's lack of a passing quarterback. With the NFC Trade Deadline in roughly 24 hours, we give out our favorite hypothetical trades. Alex wants the Rams to go after Kareem Hunt. I want the Bills to make a major splash on New Orleans Saints star Alvin Kamara. Finally, Dylan gives a memorable rant after Trevor Lawrence's worst game of 2022. With just 133 yards and two bad interceptions, Lawrence's lack of precision passing led to the Jags losing a 21-17 heartbreak to the Denver Broncos at Wembley Stadium. I explain why Lawrence is still making too many mistakes, Jacksonville's need for a No. 1 receiver, and a Wembley jinx for Chelsea FC and my Jags. ...more38minPlay
October 25, 2022Week 7 Recap with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex Bleuel and I recap Week 7 of the NFL season. We start by talking about Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs convincing win over the SF 49ers. During that game, Mecole Hardman became the first receiver with two rushing and a receiving touchdown in the Super Bowl era. We also answer how the 49ers will use Christian McCaffrey after his trade from the Carolina Panthers. Onto Miami, where the Dolphins welcomed Tua Tagovailoa and the NFL's last undefeated team to Hard Rock Stadium in a primetime dual with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite not scoring a second-half point, Miami beat the Steelers 16-10 on Sunday Night Football. After the Dolphins chat, Alex asks me why my Jags cannot win a close game, and whether Travis Etienne can handle the No. 1 back role after the Jags traded James Robinson to the Ny Jets. After the Chicago Bears 33-14 domination over the New England Patriots, we try to guess whether Bailey Zappe or Mac Jones will start Sunday's game against the NY Jets Finally, Alex ends this episode with a rant about how to improve Thursday Night Football....more34minPlay

Dillashaw. We then look into our favorite expensive fighters, bets, and DFS strategy for UFC 280....more28minPlay
October 17, 2022Week 6 Recap with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex Bleuel and I recap Week 6 of the 2022 NFL season. First, we talk about Week 6's biggest game between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. Josh Allen led the Bills to a 24-20 win over Patrick Mahomes and KC. Could Allen-Mahomes create the second coming of a Manning-Brady quarterback rivalry. What are the odds we see this game in a potential AFC Championship Game this coming January and for years to come? Would you rather have Allen or Mahomes lead your team? After another quarterback carousel, we talk about last night's NFC East showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, which Philly won 26-17. Despite the closer score, we both agree the Eagles largely controlled the game. Much of this was done with the arm and legs of Jalen Hurts, who threw two touchdowns in the win. With Cooper Rush's first NFL loss and throwing three costly interceptions, we ask whether Dak Prescott will be ready to deal the Cowboys offense when he returns. With the New York Jets and Giants both on winning streaks, we answer which NY team is better positioned to continue its winning ways. While we are both impressed with the Jets, the Giants next four games look more winnable than the Jets. Then, we each hand out our biggest fantasy disappointment. Alex picks Steelers running back Najee Harris while The Big D picks Panthers receiver D.J. Moore. Finally, I give a rant after a pitiful 27-10 display by Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers against the Jets. ...more35minPlay
October 16, 2022Hurricane Recap hitting Florida with DMICMediaIn this episode, DMICMedia and I talk Hurricane Ian devasating Southwest Florida with its 150+ mph winds on September 28. How do you forecast where a major hurricane goes? Why do storms affect Southwest Florida over the Tampa-St. Pete area? Why do these "I" storms always turn into monster hurricanes?Despite several models showing Ian hitting near Tampa, Dennis explains why storms miss Tampa. I also remember the similar map Hurricane Charley took before hitting Southwest Florida in 2004. While Southwest Florida has been hit four times in 20 years, Tampa has not been hit since 1921. While wind can cause great damage, storm surge is what everyone fears in a landfalling hurricane. Afterwards, The Big D explains how I could not sleep. I also explain how I got through this hurricane, and I do regret not streaming before the storm hit. A ferry would have been faster than evacuating to the Miami area. We also discuss which American cities are the most vulnerable to another major hurricane. Dennis picks Miami with its population growth and how close many of Miami's areas are to surge. I pick Tampa due to not receiving a direct strike in 101 years, and its buildings and residents not experiencing hurricane-force winds despite several close calls during the past 20 years. ...more33minPlay
