The stock market has turned into a casino. Nearly half the options on S&P 500 stocks as well as on SPY and QQQ have maturities of less than 24 hours (0DTE). This means that everybody is after a quick buck . . . a REALLY quick buck . . . about as quick as a slot machine in Vegas. Now, 60% of options traded had maturities of 1-2 days, up from 0% in 2010, and 6% in 2018. Investor-to-gambler ratio has changed dramatically . . . by 60-fold in thirteen years.
