The Big Reviewski

In what has got to be one of the busiest weeks in entertainment history (no exaggeration!), we've got an absolutely bonkers weeks full of new stuff for you to enjoy!

Big screen reviews include the latest sequels to Venom and Halloween, as well as animated comedy Ron's Gone Wrong, the Matt Damon-filmed-in-Ireland movie The Last Duel, and powerful new Irish drama Arracht.

At home, you've got the new seasons of Succession and You, as well as Muppet's Haunted Mansion and the new adaptation of I Know What You Did Last Summer.

PLUS we break down the new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil adaptation AND we give the best recommendations for those who have just finished and loved Netflix's massively successful Squid Game!

JOE.ie and The Big Reviewski's Rory Cashin (@roarEcashin) chats to Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms about their new animated comedy, Ron's Gone Wrong.

They talk about their love of hiding "adult" jokes in family-friendly movies, what they both obsessed over when they were younger (as in what they REALLY wanted to get from Santa), and Zach makes a connection between his own family and Rory's!

Plus they discuss the Irish afterparty for the premiere of The Hangover, which happened in Dublin way back in 2009!

The Big Reviewski's Rory Cashin (@roarEcashin) chat to the legendary Jamie Lee Curtis about her role in the new horror movie, Halloween Kills.

On top of discussing why she reckons film fans have such a love for particular survivor characters in cinema history - like Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor - she also discusses her plans for the final chapter of the series, 2022's Halloween Kills.

Basically, Irish film fans will be VERY happy with what Jamie Lee Curtis has in the works...

We chatted to Andy Serkis about directing Venom: Let There Be Carnage!

While he is definitely better known for his work in front of the camera in blockbusters from Marvel, Star Wars and Planet of the Apes, Serkis has taken up the director's chair and worked heavily with Tom Hardy for this comic book sequel!

Since it is the first week of October, we wanted to make things a little spooky... but not TOO spooky!

So our picks of the week for the now legendary Pizza And A Movie section are both scary movies to enjoy at home, while one of the new big screen releases is none other than The Addams Family 2.

Also in the mix is our conversation with none other than Lily-Rose Depp, who chats to us about her new sci-fi thriller Voyagers, we take a deep dive on Netflix's new all-star western The Harder They Fall.

PLUS... the best movie app you've probably never heard of before.

With the arrival of the 25th James Bond movie this week, and it being Daniel Craig's fifth and final go in the role, this week is a bit of a 007 special.

So on top of our review of No Time To Die, we also rank Craig's previous outings as Bond from worst to best, PLUS we chat to the brand new Bond villain, played by none other than Oscar-winner Rami Malek.

But it isn't ALL Bond this week, as we're all taking a deep dive on the new trailer for Netflix's hit series The Witcher returning for Season 2 this December, as well as reviewing all of the new movies and shows you can watch at home this weekend.

We chatted to some of the cast of No Time To Die, including Rami Malek (playing the movie's villain Safin), Ben Whishaw (who plays Q), and Lea Seydoux (returning as Madeleine Swann).

We also chatted to the movie's director/co-writer Cary Joji Fukanaga, and they all discussed their favourite Bond songs, their first/best memories of Craig as Bond, and loads more!

Wow.

Wow wow wow.

What a week of new stuff you've got to enjoy on the big screen AND at home!

Not only is The Sopranos prequel movie, The Many Saints of Newark, arriving in cinemas, but we chatted to Ray Liotta himself about his role in it! To celebrate that movie's arrival and our special guest, we also compiled a countdown of the five Goodfellas facts you might not have known!

At home, there are some huge new arrivals on Netflix, Apple TV, Prime Video and Disney+, and we review them all for you!

Plus we take a look at the first trailer for Tom Hanks' new movie Finch, we looks like it is guaranteed to make us cry.

Hollywood legend Ray Liotta chats about The Sopranos prequel movie The Many Saints of Newark, as well as his memories of the show itself.

He discusses the process behind his incredible narration over Goodfellas, and the future of Michael Gandolfini (who plays young Tony Soprano in the new movie).

Plus, Liotta talks about his love of Ireland as he is making Cocaine Bear here at the time of the interview!
