We also talk over the markets with Paragon Investments' Jamey Kohake and Tim Meyer has the latest on land and equipment sales at the Steffes Group!

Friday's Second Hour: It's Farming for the Future Friday with the Iowa Beef Industry Council and the Coalition to Support Iowa's Farmers! We open this hour with Brian Waddingham from CSIF talking about rules and regulations inspections that are happening around Iowa and how the Coalition can come out ahead of those inspections and help you meet the requirements. Kody Havens tells us what he does out in the field as he visits livestock producers across the state. Our day the Iowa Beef Industry Council hewadquarters in Ames wraps up with IBIC's Mike Anderson talking about the importance of Checkoff dollars in Iowa. Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments wraps up today's Big Show with our last look at commodity markets for the week.

Friday's First Hour: The Iowa Beef Industry Council and the Coalition to Support Iowa's Farmers are our hosts today for Farming for the Future Friday! IBIC's Mike Anderson, Dr. Dan Thompson, Dr. Stephanie Hansen, and Assistant Professor Randie Culbertson from Iowa State University talk about the latest research and innovations funded by the Beef Checkoff and the future of the beef industry.

Thursday's Second Hour: The deadline to apply for the Choose Iowa Dairy Innovation Grant has been extended to February 23 and Iowa State Dairy Association Executive Director Mariah Busta tells us how to apply and what the grant can potentially be used for. She also gives an insider tip on how to find out where your dairy products were processed! David Geiger has a report with Locus AG's Vic Peroni looking at participation in carbon credit programs. Don Roose from U.S. Commodities brings us information on commodity markets to end the show now that we're a couple of hours removed from the WASDE Report that sent soybeans on a rollercoaster ride.

Thursday's First Hour: With reports coming out from USDA and CONAB today, Don Roose from U.S. Commodities breaks down the key numbers. DEKALB Asgrow Technical Agronomist Nicole Stecklein tells us what she's seeing in Northeast Iowa. USMEF Vice President of Industry Relations John Hinners joins us on the show talking about the importance of farmers and the Iowa Corn Growers Association in the production of red meat.

Wednesday's Second Hour: Todd & Sargent is celebrating 90 years in business and President & CEO Jon Sargent talks with Bob about the company's history, including the building of the feed mill at Iowa State University. Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor was one of the headline speakers at the Renewable Fuels Summit last week and she tells us about the discussions they had at the meeting. Brian Hoops from Midwest Market Solutions wraps up the show today with our last look at commodity markets.

Wednesday's First Hour: Meaghan Anderson from Iowa State University Extension tells us what her soil moisture monitors are reading as all of the January snow melts into the ground. Brian Hoops with Midwest Market Solutions talks markets with us and the impact of weekend rain in South America on today's trade. David Geiger ends the hour with a report on the Affordable Connectivity Program and its potential end in a few months without new funding.

Tuesday's Full Show: Today on The Big Show we remember the late Bill Northey, former Iowa Secretary of Agriculture. We hear some audio of Bill telling us about some of his proudest accomplishments. We talk with his successor, Mike Naig, Iowa Soybean Association's Grant Kimberly, Iowa Corn Growers Association's Rod Williamson, Iowa Pork Producers' Pat McGonegle, and farmer Bill Couser.

Monday's Second Hour: Iowa State University researcher Chris Williams is off to Washington D.C. to speak about soy-based asphalt, and he gives us the inside scoop to start this hour of The Big Show. Jennifer Stutz from Bayer tells us about their upcoming mandatory trainings for dicamba usage and how farmers can get involved. We end the day with Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments as we survey today's ag commodity trade.
