Justin Glisan, Iowa USDA State Climatologist, discusses the Omega Block building over the Midwest, bringing warm and dry weather. He also talks about moving into an El Nino phase that could bring some rain. Don Roose from U.S. Commodities tells us how the three largest factors influencing grain markets are weather, weather, and more weather, and the current highs in the cattle market.

Kirk Roller, Chief Operating Officer at ClearFlame Engine Technologies, joins us to discuss the diesel semi-truck engine they have developed to burn ethanol. David Geiger is back at the Iowa State Fairgrounds joined to start the hour by NPPC Director of Trade Show Marketing Doug Fricke discussing the highlights from the past few days of food, exhibitors, and fun and we get an estimate of just how many people were in attendance. David also has a conversation with US Customs and Border Protection Agriculture Specialist Joe Scheele discussing the importance of monitoring for potential foreign animal diseases coming into the country and the process of training Beagle Brigade dogs to identify scents of items not allowed into the country. Don Roose wraps up The Big Show for the week with an update of how markets are reacting to today's WASDE Report with corn in the red, soybeans stronger.

Right at the top of the show, we take a look at the effect of the WASDE Report released by USDA at 11:00. Don Roose is today's market analyst from U.S. Commodities joining us for some extended time diving into what stuck out to him in today's report and the impact of increases in South American corn and soybean exports. He also goes into livestock markets with us amid record or near-record prices in some cattle markets. We wrap up the hour with a report from David Geiger with USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Alexis Taylor on their recent trade mission to Japan.
