Today's market analyst is Don Roose from U.S. Commodities with a preview of the WASDE Report later this week and a breakdown of the up and down roller coaster that the corn has been on the past couple of weeks. Wyffels Hybrids District Sales Manager Brad Ganeff in Humboldt, Calhoun, and Webster Counties updates us on planting and field conditions in his area and shares with us some of the concerns he has recently heard from customers about those conditions and gives his advice to handle adversity. Iowa Pork Producers Association President Trish Cook tells us to start the hour about the success of their Pork In The Pantry program and talks about the outlook for the pork industry heading into grilling season. Iowa State University Extension Beef Specialist Erika Lundy-Woolfolk discusses pasture management with us and when the right time to start cattle grazing. We close the day with Brian Hoops from Midwest Market Solutions talking about the reasons for the downward moving grain markets today including the findings of yesterday's crop progress report.

State Climatologist Justin Glissan joins us on The Big Show with a look at what he expects in terms of rainfall during the growing season in the Midwest and what El Nino would mean for the drought we have seen the past few years. Brian Hoops with Midwest Market Solutions is with us to analyze today's markets as corn, beans, and wheat are sharply lower. We also have Emory Miller's Three Big Things and a look at weather in the Midwest and the row crop competition areas of South America.

With the Iowa State Legislative session concluded, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation President Brent Johnson gives his thoughts on this session's activity. Iowa's Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig talks with us about planting progress and its momentary pause for this weekend's weather then gives his thoughts on the 2023 State Legislative session from the perspective of agriculture. Mike Naig also says it's a good sign that through most of the spring migration season, there has yet to be an issue with Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). Jamey Kohake wraps up the show for the day with a look at markets and a preview of the WASDE report coming up this Friday.

SW Iowa Field Agronomist Aaron Saeugling from Iowa State Extension joins us with his estimates for planting progress in that area and sums up the weather conditions from this past weekend. Today's market analyst, Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments, takes a look at today's lower grain markets and says he expects a lot of progress to be shown in this afternoon's planting progress report from USDA. Tim Meyer from the Steffes Group takes us inside their schedule for land and equipment auctions in the next couple of weeks and talks about their near-150,000 online bidders.
