The marketing team had this brilliant idea. Since eBay is going bankrupt, the marketing budget was a little bit tight. Why not use eBay’s inventory of counterfeit Nikes to promote the selling of more fake items on eBay? Our dishonest marketing executives will use stolen money to buy the counterfeit Nikes from a boring host on YouTube. The host will then pretend to be making lots of money selling our own counterfeit Nikes. We’ll then use the stolen money we… laundered… to buy more of our own counterfeit shoes. We’ll do that for a while, bolster up the boring used counterfeit shoe salesman, to appear successful from selling fake goods & receiving stolen, laundered, money. Then we will pay for views. When the time is right, we will suspend the boring fake shoe guy’s eBay account. PERMANENTLY. That way, we, the marketing team, will normalize permanently suspended accounts. We’ll try to make it seem as real as possible using the least talented people. Whenever someone argues that they lost $1,575… we’ll just reiterate, “At least it wasn’t 2.5 million of stolen money lost on fake Nikes like that boring used shoe salesman!” We’ll pay YouTube to be at the top of every search. Once the permanent suspension is normalized using fake Nikes & stolen, laundered, money, we’ll turn our attention toward: The Vault. The Vault is an overpriced counterfeit basketball card museum. Only the realest looking fake basketball cards can go into The Vault. We’ll keep stealing honest seller money to buy more fake stuff. We’ll encourage honest people at home & also people on Twitter, using the giant brains of our brilliant eBay Community, to trust ebay with their priceless REAL (not fake) basketball cards. eBay’s honest staff will then swap the honest person’s priceless basketball cards with our worthless fake basketball cards. We’ll either ruin, lose, or steal the original priceless basketball cards, and then tell the honest person we don’t accept counterfeit cards. We’ll send them the fake, lose it, steal the original, lose that fighting over it, and then steal more money. How much did The Vault cost eBay? Let’s just say, we could have paid sellers what they were owed with the cost of the counterfeit basketball card museum. THE VAULT eBay’s community is not a community. It’s like 2 graveyard shift employees anxious to get done for the night & one or two random sellers who got lost. 😘
