How do we stay healthy and WHOLE (complete) even when we are different? Families are different—it’s beautiful. But it also creates challenges. In the midst of family baggage, pain, differences, or obstacles, we can still have a WHOLE and HEALTHY family in Christ. And, I believe, in Christ alone.

As a family, God can give us direction and steps to take in order to follow Him and honor Him in our home. As we trust Him in all our ways, He can turn a family feud into a family that faithfully finishes.

Our goal at The Block is to be a church that Jesus would come to and a people our city would call on—we want to be known for our service not our scandals. Our tagline says: Reviving our city, one block at a time.

Today, I want to remind us what it means to be saved and to follow Jesus. I’ve entitled this message, “Expensive Gospel.” Following Jesus is the evidence of salvation in your life and the price of “carrying” your cross is the call of every believer. In other words, salvation is FREE, but following Jesus will cost you EVERYTHING.
