All of humanity experiences and knows a form of brokenness. Fortunately for us, God is looking for broken people to care for and use for His glory. On this Easter, our brokenness is endearing to Jesus and all we have to do to be touched by Him is just come as we are.

The heart of heaven has and always will be service. God created gravity to serve the ground, the ground to serve our feet, trees to serve the air, air to serve our lungs, food to serve our bodies, lights and his majesty to serve our eyes, noise to serve our ears (thinking of water gushing, birds chirping, crowds cheering, subways creaking), speaking and music to serve our heart. Everything in creation has an order—to serve creation. Which brings me to us: We were created to SERVE. We were born for service. We were born to serve God, and often, we do this by serving one another. Unfortunately, “serving” loses its power when we forget the WHY behind the WHAT.

All of us are singles in some capacity. For some, you’re actually single and don’t have a spouse. For others, you’re single because you don’t have a job and you want one or another one. Others, you’re in single digits in your bank account. And others, you wish you could have a single different life. All of us want something we don’t have, but how can we be content with where we’re at while still continuing to press forward to what could be. In other words, it’s possible to be satisfied in your current season while still setting yourself up for the season to come.

God will often connect the most unexpected people and they will experience the most unbelievable bonds. Kingdom relationships are not about what color, what language, or what financial status. They are about the understanding of ONE thing – we’re all God’s children.

Love is not what Disney has defined for us. Love is not an emotion alone; love is an action (a verb). We think that because we feel a particular way about a person or because our brain (or body) is telling us something that it means we’re in-love when in fact it might be lust or infatuation. LOVE by God’s standard and definition is actually death that produces life.
