I'm sure lots of you are thinking about blogging in 2019, and making resolutions to stick to in regards to your blog.
So in this episode, I discuss how much time you should spend blogging. Also importantly, I go through why sometimes you need to be realistic with your blogging goals and not beat yourself up if for some reason or another you're not hitting them right now.
It's better to set an easier goal you can hit. Than an over ambitious goal, you miss then stop completely as a result.
So how long should we spend blogging and how can we fit in blogging alongside other activities?

Today, I thought I'd talk about podcasting, and discuss if you should start a podcast for your blog?
It seems these days that everybody is starting their own podcast, and although podcasting has really taken off in the last couple of years you might wonder if you should be podcasting yourself.
So in this episode I'll answer that question - should you start your own podcast for your blog?

Today, I want to talk about a really central issue in blogging, that will be relevant for all bloggers and in general content creators out there.
That's blogging quality vs blogging quantity.
Should we be focussing on producing the best quality content we can, or should we be focussing on producing lots and lots of content?
Well the answer to this question is a complex one, and there are good quality arguments on either side.

In this episode of the blogging pod I want to talk about improving existing blog posts and a little technique I've just employed with one of mine.
This technique is to use analytics to improve the 'time spent' on your blog posts
When we talk about how a blog post performs, often we just think about pageviews, and I'm as guilty as anyone of this
Yet there are other important metrics to look at too, and time spent on page is becoming more and more important.

Following on from the recent episode on blogging keyword research, what it is, and why it's important. This episode is all about some alternative strategies that you can use for keyword research.
By alternative strategies, I mean other strategies than those you'll commonly hear talked about, such as using keyword research tools, google keyword planner, basic google suggest, etc etc.
In this episode I want to go through some keyword research strategies that have actually worked for me, as a lot of the advised methods didn't quite for one reason or another.
So alongside the method you can use to improve your existing posts I mentioned at the end of the last episode, this is 5 alternative approaches that bloggers can use for keyword research.

Today I thought I'd try something a bit different, and do a slightly shorter episode about a topic in blogging that's more of a discussion point I want to talk about.
That's quality blog content.
What does quality content actually mean, and why is writing quality content on our blogs important?
I think sometimes the term 'quality' is used far too often and generally without actually being broken down as to what we actually mean by quality content
Each blog is different and what is an awesome quality post for one blog might not be for another blog.
I want to discuss a slightly different way to think about what quality content actually is, and how you should think about quality content.
