The Blurred Nerds

We start of this episode with some good news for Sweet Tooth fans. Get ready to see constant Doctor Who casting speculations for the next year after this week's BBC announcement. The gaming industry shows its ugly side once again with Activision Blizzard's behind the scenes gross business practices catching the attention of the public eye. And in local news, a comic con cancels the day for it was set to begin.

In what is most likely a sign of change for the movie industry, Scarlett Johansson is suing Disney over their shift in focus to streaming for new releases. The House of Mouse shifts blame to the victim and throws out her salary as well as the panini in an attempt to make her look bad. Kevin Feige is embarrassed & angry. Now word is that Emma Stone might step forward as well. Will we see more talent speaking up soon or joining the fight?

This episode we gush about the fantastic array of 2021 Emmy nominees coming from science fiction, fantasy, comic book and geeky genres.

In the second half of the show we hit SPOILERS - discussing the finale of Loki, Black Widow and what we can expect or be surprised with in phase 4 of the MCU.

Oh, and The GeekFather says skip Space Jam 2 if you are over the age of 10.

The Geekfather saw Fast & Furious part 9 and we realize we kind of like "bad" movies.

Marvel continues the good work with a stellar beginning to Loki and positive early reviews of Black Widow.

DC puts their foot in the sand on what heroes do and do not do.

And what would a story focused on normal, everyday Blip survivors look like?

We need a break from constant cliffhangers - daring a network or streamer to renew a show seems to be backfiring lately.  Or we're just straight up having the resolution spoiled before a new season begins.

Jupiter's Legacy gets the axe but Millarworld will continue at Netflix.  The second half of season 5 for Lucifer has us in good hands and Geeked Week is coming June 7-11.

Hugh Jackman's upcoming film Reminiscence has us intrigued.

The Geekfather returns to the movie theater.

Lil' Bit (and many others) are tired of being teased about the Nintendo Switch Pro.

That and more on episode 233.

Could the Flash TV series be ending sooner rather than later?  Cult classics Faces of Death and MST3K are coming back for more and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association continues to piss off more people.
