I think it’s time we talk about...time. Our obsession with it, that is. 

Honestly, this conversation is long overdue, I get questions from members in The Bold Profit Academy and others often around this, so I think it’s time we finally talk about it. 

Here’s the thing: it is possible to spend your time well so you can run a business and have a life. 

I know because I am doing it. 

And the truth is, most of us (myself included here) have a massive problem with time. We’re exhausted, we are burnt out, we don’t feel like we have enough time to get all our tasks done, make our decisions, show up fully like we want.

This week I want to remind you that there is an inextricable link between loving yourself and your path to profitability. 

While these two things may seem like they don’t go together, I’m telling you, they are connected and central to your success as a leader. 

I have seen it personally and with my clients. When I look back at the multitude of business decisions I have made over my lifetime, the ones that have led to the most success, including financial freedom, have been where I have made a choice and a decision to put me first. 

I share this because I need you to understand that there is no business unless we put our mental, emotional, physical, financial wellbeing first.

You may have heard me say this before, but there are two characteristics that are really important for women leaders:

I want to address with you a phenomenon I’m noticing inside The Bold Profit Academy as we start our Implementation cycle around Offer Creation. 

We are currently focusing on creating offers for clients that get results and get the expert paid, but I’m noticing that there is a belief that the more offers you have, the more money you will make.

I want to call out right now that this is not necessarily true. 

Yes, it makes sense to have a well thought out and intentional offer stack that supports your customers through their journey, BUT you don’t need a ton of offers.

The answer to needing more revenue isn’t MORE OFFERS. It’s more sales activity.

As a matter of fact, the more offers you have, the harder it is going to be because you are going to have to redirect your sales activity to a number of different places unless you have a well-coordinated sales plan.

And let’s be honest, I’m pretty sure you are creating multiple offers to completely avoid selling.

I want to share an important message with you.

Back when I was studying, I was an anxious high achiever.

I remember meeting with my faculty advisor, Dr. Strausberg, walking him through my goals and timelines.

He looked at me, and said:

"Tara, you're the last person I'm worried about getting this done.”

In that moment, the pressure was off.

Dr. Strausberg trusted me to get my work done at a level that would meet expectations in a time frame that was appropriate.

That’s what I want to share with you today:

You are the last person I'm worried about getting things done.

You will get it done.

By lowering the pressure and expectations you put on yourself, you reframe the speed it takes to get things done.

It’s part of our SLOW model: The ‘L’ component.

It’s a simple learning strategy we share on this week’s podcast.
