We talk with Anna about her favorite books, her favorite cookie messages, OUR favorite cookie messages - which leads to a discussion about body positivity. We also discuss asexuality and Anna gives us some important advice on how to be better ally's to the asexual/aromantic community, especially as fellow queer folk.Â
Give Anna a follow on her Instagram at @annas_sweets_and_stories and maybe share with us which cookie message of hers is YOUR favorite! Read Anna's book recommendations for asexual books and work on your allyship and challenging your perceptions of how you and society look at sex.

We have another wonderful author interview for you - Cat Sebastian chats with us about Kitt Webb, writing messy and mean characters who deserve love, representation for queer characters in the historical romance genre, and sensitivity when writing various sexualities, gender identities, and disabilities!
It was such a great conversation and weâre excited about Catâs upcoming books and to go back and work through her backlist titles!
If you weren't sure about Kitt Webb, Cat's twitter described it as: "if youâd like a story about a grumpy highwayman, a prissy aristocrat, and crime for good reasons, have at it!"

We have Papa Dom (@dinodom on Instagram although he isn't really 'on' social media) back on the pod this season to talk about pride and body image in the queer community! The episode starts with chaos and a lot of random noises and musical sounds, but then we jump right in with some recent reads and queer memories. We talk about the importance of pride, favorite pride memories, plans to travel to all the big city prides when we can in the upcoming years. And then we talk about body image in the queer community - expectations that we look a certain way, have a certain body type, present a certain image, are feminine/masculine/androgynous enough, and meet societal expectations. We talk about how social media, especially dating apps, can perpetuate the need to look a certain way to be accepted and seen as 'queer enough.' Then we wrap up by deciding to focus on an individual goal to address and combat our internalized body images this month so we can work on dismantling the pressure to appear perfect for everyone else!

Our second episode of season 3 and we're continuing on with our fabulous author interviews for pride! We talk to Ciara Smyth about her books - The Falling in Love Montage and her recent release, Not My Problem. Both books feature lesbian main characters who are navigating love, high school, and family issues. Smyth's character's are wildly sarcastic and entertaining and she creates such depth to their stories and lives that we can't help but empathize with both Saorsie and Aideen! We also discussed the publishing process in America vs the UK, the strong family dynamics Symth writes about particulary grief, favorite characters, and the importance of representation!
