This episode we dive into the wonders of how kind the Old Testament law code was to those less fortunate. Noah speaks on the year of Jubilee and also the the freedom of debts and slaves every seven years. The fantastic way of living is sadly something that we never got to see lived out but it's a call in all our lives to take the wisdom of these passages and apply them in our own contexts. Be a year of Jubliee to others in whatever they are suffering from and give them the rest and release they need.

We are back to our old format for this episode with a guest we invited onto the podcast. This is Zach House! He's been a member of Wayfarers Church for awhile and has generously offered his time to talk about this chapter in the book of Deuteronomy. This was a fun episode where we dived into the weeds of food laws and tithing laws in the Old Testament.

He condenses many of the themes and ideas we've covered so far in this book and it's a chapter meant to reiterate a lot of those ideas all in one place. Once again, Noah and Ashley are back at it for this episode to explain and talk about many of the ideas that were in the previous chapters, giving more context and more insights into the thoughts of Moses during this time. 

This episode Noah and Ashley wrap up the golden calf retelling and get into a bit more of Moses's exhortations for the people of Israel to fear God and why they should. Once again they go long as there is a lot to talk about concerning the historical survey and also preaching of Moses.
