God desires mercy, not sacrifice. He wants to know our hearts more than He wants us to work toward righteousness out of our own strength. Our Lord is never disappointed in us because of what Christ has done on the cross.

Jesus teaches that self sufficiently is fatal to our growth, revealing patterns in our thoughts through the Beatitudes that need to be unlearned in order to serve Him.

There are 26,000 people within a 20 minute drive of Dahlonega that do not know the Good news of The Gospel. We can look at the daunting number and feel defeated because we can't share the Gospel with all of them alone, but we can do for one person what we wish we could do for all- "1 for 1".

We can not worship the coming King fully this Christmas year, and until we begin to rest in His character, and how much we are cherished by Him.

Luke: Because You Said So by The Branch Church

Many people in Luke just wanted Jesus to perform miracles for their own desire, not from the desire of wanting to follow Jesus. Simply put, they wanted want Jesus could give them, they did not want Jesus Himself.

Luke 4: When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He was not only tempted to sin, but He was also tempted to trust Himself, more than He trusted The Father.

Luke 2:No one enjoys waiting, but we often find ourselves in long season's of waiting. Jesus too had a waiting period, that lasted 30 years, for only 3 years of ministry.
