This week on the show, we speak to Master Potter and Zen Buddhist, John Pollex. John was a natural creative from the start, when he used to work on film sets in London, but after meeting a friend who introduced him to the world of ceramic art, John went on to study pottery at Sir John Cass before becoming a technician at the prestigious Harrow school. With a deep interest in philosophy and Zen buddhism, John travelled to Japan to study traditional eastern pottery techniques and also to study under the tuition of Buddhist monks where he would gain his precepts and Buddhist lineage before returning to the Uk where he is now considered to be one of the top potters in the South West of England.
