This week begins part Two of a 2 part special with Tsunami survivor and founder of Happy Headwork, Steph Hill.
Steph was a Psychology graduate, teaching in South East Asia, when the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami hit; leaving her with life-threatening injuries and killing her partner.
Suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Steph was offered medication and an 18 month waiting list for counselling when she approached her GP . Not willing to wait, she decided to take charge of her own recovery and embarked on a personal journey into the neuro health sciences, allowing her the opportunity to rehabilitate.
Since her recovery, Steph took on a Masters in Disaster Management and Sustainable Development, allowing her to work with NGOs and United Nation agencies across the International Development and Humanitarian sectors . Based on her own experiences and knowledge, She became the founder of Happy Headwork- a programme that applies a self-efficacy approach to self-care,designed to improve emotional resilience in her clients.
This is a very special interview and it gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the inspirational, Steph Hill.
