Editors note - It has recently come to our attention that Mr Wallace has radically changed his version of events, potentially casting significant doubt on the entirety of what he presented to us here. We encourage anyone lwatchingbthis episode to bear that in mind.
On this episode of The Breakdown, we sit down with self identified ex-political “fixer” David Wallace. David was identified by multiple media sources as being a key figure in the recent scandal involving the Jonathan Denis wedding (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/denis-alberta-justice-minister-former-fixer-phone-logs-reporter-1.6415532) and claims that he has been involved in attempts to “fix” political problems across Canada and in particular for the last few years in Alberta. We sat down with David to hear his side of the story, and even we were shocked by some of the things that he shared. We want to emphasize that this episode is presented as a conversation with David, and while his story surrounding the phone logs has been widely reported on and vetted by multiple journalistic outlets, we have not independently verified any of his claims. As always, if you appreciate the kind of content that we’re trying to produce here at The Breakdown, please consider signing up as a monthly supporter at our patreon site at www.patreon.com/thebreakdownab, and if you’re listening to the audio version of our podcast, please consider leaving us a review and a rating and don’t forget to like and follow us on facebook, twitter and instagram all at @thebreakdownab.
