In this episode I’m joined with Zainab Apako and Tassy Mathers. In this podcast we discuss the stigmatisation of sexuality and the LGBT community. We explore why the topic is so taboo, we discuss the pressures that black children feel with all the factors they face such as rejection and in worst cases being disownment, we also take the opportunity to discuss the lack of understanding of intersectionality and how black members of the LGBTQ+ community find their pigeon holed into their sexuality becoming their personality.
Join us this week as we delve into why clothes and labels and identify have intertwined for the younger black community and more so the members in the LGBTQ community, As we question the religious hold on the views of parents accepting their kids and the shame based African culture.
