Welcome to a special edition of BMS Goes Broadway!🎭 Hosts Bret Mega and Anna Bohlmann (AB) sit down with composer and writer Joey Contreras, the creator of the viral new musical In Pieces—a show that’s been exploding across social media and capturing the attention of theatre fans everywhere. In this exclusive Broadway podcast interview, Joey opens up about his 12-year journey bringing In Pieces to life, from early development to its growing online fanbase and what it really takes to build a new musical from the ground up.

We dive into the creative decisions behind the show, including the changes people have pushed him to make—and why he’s choosing to stay true to his original vision. Joey also shares what it’s like being connected to the hit TV series Off Campus, thanks to Antonio Cipriano performing in both projects, and how that crossover has impacted the show’s reach.

Plus, what’s next for In Pieces? Is Broadway in the future? Joey gives insight into where the musical is headed and what fans can expect next.

If you love Broadway, new musicals, behind-the-scenes theatre stories, and honest conversations with creators, this episode is for you.
