Our gratitude for all that Jesus accomplished on our behalf—the forgiveness of our sins, the removal of our guilt and shame, a way for us to know God personally and the provision of a home in Heaven, should compel us to invest in relationships with those who are far from God while looking for an opportunity to invite them to The Bridge.

This message will address our Do Good Ministry and the financial needs associated with doing good for people around the globe.

Have you ever taken inventory of all the blessings in your life? It’s typically easier to point out the things that have gone wrong than all that has gone right but there is something powerful about recognizing the blessings. Gratitude changes everything!

The tendency during times of fear and uncertainty is to move toward self-centeredness. We want to “circle the wagons” and take care of our needs first. Jesus challenges His followers with this—“Why would you allow your fear of the future to back you in the same corner of self-centeredness as someone that doesn’t even believe in God?” Rather, in the midst of uncertainty and fear the Christ-follower should ask, “What can I do to further God’s Kingdom and not mine?”

During times of uncertainty and fear, we would do well to remember all the times when God has been faithful in the past. God’s faithfulness in the past casts a shadow of hope over our future.

Telling someone to pray when they are afraid or uncertain seems so cliché! Prayer is one of the first things most people do in times of fear and uncertainty. Yet, the Apostle Paul shows us that there might be more to prayer than we originally thought.

We have a choice each day to feed the Spirit and starve the flesh. Knowing how to feed the Spirit will help create a way out of temptation.

As Christ-followers, we never have to fight temptation alone. We have living within us the Holy Spirit. The more we learn to depend on and follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit, the more victorious we will be against temptation.

There is a process for temptation that goes from your thoughts to your choices. This process is extremely consistent which provides us with the best strategy for fighting temptation.

Temptation is anything that promises satisfaction at the cost of obedience to God. No one is above temptation but everyone can escape it. God will never tempt you but will always provide a way out
