We all want to rid the world of injustice but we can only recognize injustice by knowing what justice truly is. Unfortunately, we don’t always agree on what is just. So, who gets to define justice?

If the Christian faith rests completely on the provability and reliability of the Bible, then defending our faith becomes difficult at times. If the whole Bible cannot be proven as true, then one might argue that none of it is true! However, prior to the Bible being compiled into Old and New Testaments, the argument for the Christian faith rested on an event in history not a book. We believe today—not simply because the Bible tells us so—but because of the testimony of those that willingly gave their lives for what they saw and heard.

Americans are migrating away from religion, Christianity in particular, at an unprecedented rate. This departure is not because atheism is more appealing but for many, religion has simply lost its appeal. Once upon a time, Americans believed religion offered solutions. Today, however, religion is viewed by many as the problem. The newest version of atheism projects itself as the answer to the problem of religion!

Summer at the Bridge. David Peterse speaks

He was a heroic warrior that was part of King David’s mighty men. He chased a lion into a pit on a snowy day and killed it which symbolized an opportunity to prove his valor and worth. Defeating this lion opened the door for many more opportunities in his life!

He faced a lion and a bear that were threatening his flock of sheep. This heroic act set him up to face an even bigger foe that threatened the flock of Israel. David approached the battle with Goliath with confidence because of the other threatening lions he had already defeated. What threatens your life or the lives of those you lead?
