While his dreams were to build and create as it related to architecture. God would show him that building a church and creating a framework for God to work, was the greatest architectural work he could do. It has been Mike’s years as a dreamer and a follower of Christ that have shaped him into the leader and spiritual mentor he is today. His title is Senior Pastor at Port City Community Church in Wilmington, NC but he prefers the title of husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. This conversation will remind you that not all sacred work is in the church and pastors are human too.

    • Insecurities and fear are normal, but they shouldn't hold us back from following our calling. Recognize the voice of the enemy and choose to trust in God's provision.
    • The church has a role in economic development and should value every individual's vocation.
    • Not every job should be within the church, but all work can be sacred
