Towards the end of August, Elton Brand decided to take Brett Brown up on an offer to extend his second stint with the 76ers. After breaking off a brief retirement to rejoin the team last January, the 37-year old proved to be a trusted locker room presence, and served as a particularly valuable mentor to the Sixers' frontcourt prospects.
In this October 14th afternoon edition of The BroadCast, Brand sits down with Sixers.com's Brian Seltzer. Among the subjects the two discuss include:
* The state of the Sixers five games into the pre-season.
* Brand's impressions of up-and-coming big men Joel Embiid, Jahlil Okafor, Dario Saric, and Richaun Holmes.
* Brand's individual goals for the rest of the pre-season, and the balancing act he performs between fatherhood and being a professional athlete.
The conversation with Brand begins at the 1:40 mark of the podcast.
