On the eve of the 76ers' final exhibition game, Elton Brand decided the timing was right for him to retire for good. The 17-year veteran earned co-Rookie of the Year Honors and two All-Star bids over the course of his career. With the Sixers seeking veteran leadership, he rejoined the team last January, and returned for the pre-season.
In this October 20th edition of The BroadCast, hosted by Sixers.com's Brian Seltzer, Brand, as well as other members of the Sixers organization, discuss his retirement decision. Plus, Jahlil Okafor talks about his status for opening night, and Brett Brown examine's Okafor's defensive goals for this campaign.
