When the 76ers visited Charlotte back in November, Hornets head coach Steve Clifford told a story about associate head coach Patrick Ewing's initial reaction to seeing pre-season tape of Joel Embiid. Ewing, according to Clifford, said, "Woah. This guy could well be the most talented center in this league." Not bad praise coming from a Hall of Famer.
