Friday morning, the 76ers formally opened the doors to their new home, a sprawling, state-of-the-art training complex in Camden, New Jersey that sits adjacent to the Delaware River waterfront. Following a ribbon cutting ceremony that included members of the Sixers’ ownership group, front office, and local and state political figures, tours of the club’s 66,230-square foot basketball facility were given.
In this episode of The BroadCast, which was recorded Friday at the training complex, Sixers.com’s Brian Seltzer details what he saw while walking around the building, from the players-only restaurant to the workout area, and plays back audio that was gathered along the way. Hear from:
*Josh Harris, who discusses the significance of the Sixers now having an owned-and-operated practice site.
*Bryan Colangelo, who describes the training complex’s distinct qualities, and touches upon the make-up of the Sixers’ roster heading into training camp.
*Brett Brown, who explains the role he assumed in the planning stages of this project, and the aspects about it that excite him the most.
