During this episode of " The Broken System Podcast"  we embark on a comprehensive journey through The Police Reports .  We uncover puzzling details that suggest the presence of multiple individuals at the scene.  Mark's distractions and interactions with others during the 911 calls raise serious concerns about the handling of the emergency.

Drawing from the extensive police report compiled by Detective Ellenberg, we navigate through the twists and turns of the investigation. The initial narrative presented by those involved is put under scrutiny, revealing a carefully constructed story. However, as more information comes to light, inconsistencies emerge, challenging the credibility of key witnesses.

One glaring issue that arises is the concerted effort to push a suicide narrative. Various individuals claim that DJ and Brandy had a history of suicide attempts, creating a narrative that aims to downplay any foul play. Yet, as we delve deeper, we uncover a multitude of inconsistencies in the 9-1-1 calls and witness statements that cast doubt on this explanation.

Furthermore, the role of the medical examiner comes into focus. Limited by the information available and the constrained timeframe, the determination of suicide on DJ's death certificate muddies the investigation further.

It's a tragic story of DJ and Brandy's struggle with addiction, which ultimately led to the breakdown of their marriage and DJ's untimely death. DJ was a selfless person who loved to make others happy and was always there to help his friends and family. He had a close-knit family who did everything together and had a big heart, making him a cherished member of his community.

Despite their love for each other, DJ and Brandy's relationship was marked by turbulence and conflict due to their struggles with addiction. Addiction can complicate relationships and make it hard for individuals to prioritize their relationships over their drug use, leading to further strain on the relationship.

The back and forth between DJ and Brandy took place over a year, with DJ trying to figure out how to get his family on track. His family tried endlessly to convince him to end the toxic relationship, but DJ was unwilling to walk away from Brandy. He was convinced that he could make things work and loved her deeply, which caused him to put himself in unsafe situations to ensure her safety.

 It's a heartbreaking story that highlights the devastating effects of addiction on individuals and their relationships.
