Brookes’ guest on today’s episode is Shannon Dellimore, co-founder of the powerhouse independent beauty brand GlamGlow. Shannon and her partner Glenn turned an $80 investment they made on a whim after a conversation with an A-list movie star at a party and in just 6 years have turned that investment into a multi-million dollar skincare business. This is truly a business built on word of mouth. Like all such stories, includes a lot of research, drive and hard work - along with a little luck. Shannon’s GlamGlow masks are a hit with women and girls including Brooke and her daughters. Shannon’s story includes buying a house just as the market crashed while starting a business and having a brand new baby – all the same types of challenges women in business have to face every day. Shannon and her GlamGlow beauty masks are a classic American self-made success story. Find them at www.GlamGlow.com and on Twitter and Instagram at @GlamGlow

Brooke welcomes back one of the most informative, interesting guests we’ve ever had, sex and relationship expert Dr. Emily Morse. Emily is the host of the “Sex With Emily” podcast and is a frequent contributor and expert for television and radio shows.
Brooke and Emily talk in detail about Harvey Weinstein, the #MeToo movement and the broader issues of sexual harassment, abuse and trauma that are at the forefront of our national conversation.
Brooke and Emily both share their own personal experiences with inappropriate interactions in the workplace and in their private lives. Women are so used to experiencing and brushing off these episodes because of fear of the social cost that the conversation has been pushed to the sidelines until now when these stories have cracked open the door in a new and powerful way.
They also talk about ways to respond in the moment when someone does or says something inappropriate.
Brooke and Emily also answer listener questions about love, attraction, sex, hormones, taboos and naughty toys.
If you or someone you care about has experienced sexual assault, trauma or abuse, call RAINN – the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673).

Today, Brooke seeks professional help. Ryan Jordan, the founder of Educated Nannies is on the show to discuss a whole range of topics on parenting, childcare professionals, mom guilt and being a small business owner.
Ryan’s company places qualified pros with college degrees in childcare positions and helps families find nannies that fit their parenting style and personal philosophy. As a former teacher and a childcare provider herself building a business, Ryan has learned a tremendous amount about what parents need help with and how nannies can offer the best kind of support to benefit everyone involved.
How do you find a qualified nanny? How much should it cost? What kinds of hours do you need? What are the legalities of hiring a nanny? What are the right boundaries to set both for the employer and the employee? How is the pay structure different for someone you hire to “live in?” How do you deal with it when you have to fire someone? Ryan and Brooke cover all these questions and more.

A few months ago, Brooke joined a friend for something called a “Breathwork” class. After one emotional hour, she was spent, cleansed and felt like she’d discovered a powerful new physical form of meditation that she had to know more about.
The teacher of that class was Jon Paul Crimi who joins Brooke for a profound, emotional conversation about what Breathwork is, how it’s changed his life for the better and how he’s paying it forward to others to help them feel better, free themselves of emotional baggage and live better lives.
JP’s story includes a journey through chemical dependency and recovery, time in Hollywood as well as work as a celebrity personal trainer and sober coach, but – much to his surprise – Breathworks has opened up new vistas for him both personally and professionally.

Dr. Lisa Strohman joins Brooke to talk about kids and technology and what she has to say will blow your mind. What are the consequences for a kid who asks for or passes along a nude photo from a classmate? How many fake Instagram accounts does your teen have? Can that social media post really cause a problem when it’s college admission time? Average middle-schoolers are spending over 11 hours a day connected to social media which can lead to physical changes in the brain, making them resemble schizophrenic brains. Rates of teen anxiety, depression and ADD are at all-time highs and some of the problem can be traced back to the way kids are using technology.
We hand our kids powerful devices like phones and computers, which they need education to use without harming themselves and their peers. Without our help they are exposed to dangers they may not know even exist. Brooke and Dr. Lisa cover issues like social media, sexting, online porn, cyberbullying, cyberstalking, screen addiction and all the psychological, physical and legal ramifications of using new media that schools and parents are woefully undereducated on. This is an important episode for any parent with a child who is online or has a mobile device.
Dr. Lisa is a licensed clinical psychologist, lawyer and former prosecutor who has developed Digital Citizen Academy dcakids.org to give parents and educators resources to give kids the ability to use technology safely.

Today is the inaugural episode of The Brooke Burke Show and we couldn’t be more excited! Brooke’s first guest on this new adventure is the incredible fitness and lifestyle guru the amazing Jorge Cruise. Jorge has worked with a long list of celebrity clients including Oprah Winfrey, Steve Harvey, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Lucy Liu, Eva Longoria and Kyle Richards and has helped millions more with his books and TV appearances.
Jorge is here to talk about the most recent of his incredible 32 books, “The Three Choices.” But even more importantly, Jorge is here to talk about the incredible life-transforming realization which inspired the book -- that he had to honor his true self at the age of 39 and accept the fact that he’s gay.
Since getting his big break with Oprah Winfrey, Jorge has been helping millions of people improve their lives and their relationships with themselves through his work as a personal trainer and health and fitness expert. Now it was time for him to find the courage to take care of himself. Jorge’s journey was complicated by the fact that he was married and the father of two young sons, but listeners will be happy to know that he moved through the difficulty, panic and confusion and has come out the other side with a fulfilling new life that includes a beautiful relationship with his husband Sam, who makes a brief appearance on the show.
Of course, Brooke and Jorge get into a lot of valuable fitness and wellness, but this episode is an intimate look into the very private heart of a very public figure. Enjoy!
