Actor Carey Mulligan (and the whole world) owe film critic Dennis Harvey a massive apology for the disgraceful act of destroying his career and reputation, to try and position themselves in this year's Oscar race. Her completely inferred response to a year old review, was nothing but the usual stories actor's, publicists and studios pump out between Christmas and February, just to put themselves in the minds of academy voters - only more cynical and vile. Harvey never said a word about either Margot or Carey being hot or not, cos a 60 year old gay guy doesn't think like that.

Facing the certainty of defeat to the god-awful Scott Morrison, subjecting Australia to years more of a declining economy and utter despair, a tactically hopeless Anthony Albanese must now step aside so the pig headed, incompetent sexist bully can face his worst nightmare, an articulate, even tempered, intelligent, strong, well spoken woman - Tanya Plibersek. Scotty would flounder from day one, and it will turn his forgone, show-boating, slavish-Aussie-media backed, parade into a nightmare. Now is the time Tanya.

One of the happiest and most joyful moments in modern history has been watching the parasitic vampire cancers of Wall Street losing at their own rigged game, the hypocrisy over it a hall of famer. Ironically, the hedge fund vermin that have cashed out the public casino every time they could, failed to hedge against their own bets. Hopefully a new paradigm of terror for these scum to deal with.

There's lots of talk about the economic battle between China and the West but due to the combined forces of economic Neo-liberalism and globalisation, destroying Western economies for the last few decades and bolstering China, it's a battle the West has already lost and cannot come back from.

Australia's first evangelical Christian prime minister may not act like a moral Christian but he has own unique set of values that he keeps well hidden. Such as the Hillsong/Evangelical Seven Mountains Mandate, that dictates members of his church should seek positions of power in things like politics or media to promote an agenda their equally troubling Dominion Theory says gives them rightful ruler-ship of the earth.

Ditch bad leaders not good policy. Australian Labor leader Anthony Albanese has been a meek disaster, spooked by right wing media into adopting a policy of standing quietly and politely as close to Prime Minister Scott Morrison as possible and speaking when spoken too. His abandoning of Labors excellent, necessary policy to shut down the wealthy retiree free money rort that is franking credits out of fear is the last straw for me.

In any normal country, the relentless scandals and corruption that have continually beset the federal and state governments of Scott Morrison and Gladys Berejiklian, would've resulted in destruction. Not in Australia, where both end the year on highs with both the public and the press. Something is wrong with this picture.

Right wing populism has done many terrible things these last five years but when Trump and Scomo and Boris are long gone, Brexit will remain. A Brexit lament.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison enjoys ridiculously unearned popularity but a foundation built solely on popularity is no foundation at all and he maybe be on much thinner ice than people credit. Labor should take note of the various storms swirling beneath his feet and strike.
