Hello and Welcome to The BurnCast!
Prepare yourself for the pilot episode of the humorous and informative writing podcast which takes a look at some of the great literary works of the 21st century.
The floodgates are open, with more self-published and vanity-published books hitting the market every day at an ever-increasing rate, we bravely stand below the deluge with our mouths open for you, the listener, and come back to the studio with our cheeks bulging with (apparently) the very best the world has to offer.
Our first episode covers the action-thriller and "suspense" novel: China Strike by author Stephen Mertz.
Jingoism, blatant sexism, and racist undertones populate a ludicrous tale of American fighting men doing their best to hunt down the forgotten MIA's of the Vietnam war, leaving all seriousness and self-respect for their mission at the border.

*Note: As this was our first recording, there were some learning curves to the audio and editing of our production. Only one of us had access to a sound studio at the time of recording. However, this issue has been fixed by our second episode, which features much better sound, tighter structure, and and even more asinine story to talk about. Look forward to Episode 2, releasing Monday, May 6th!
