Let's start with a question
"Why would people pay for the privilege of working harder at their chosen sport or recreational pursuit than they would work at a job where they were being paid?"
I bet you can answer your own question by thinking about these five key principles:
Little did he know that World of Warcraft, Mario Brothers, Halo, and the Wii would raise a whole generation of Millennials on games merely for games' sake. And that, in the process, creates a statistical and analytical science that today reinforces gaming behavior and drives incredible levels of product adoption... and has other applications.
And how could he have guessed that the principles that make these increasingly realistic games so addictive could be used to try and get people to work harder
Here's a Widely known saying:
"You have to measure what you want more of."
He says in his book that he has built two feedback corollaries upon a statement first made by Thomas S. Monson that may well be one of the most well-known goal-setting and feedback principles ever written:
"When performance is measured, performance improves. When performance is measured and reported back, the rate of improvement accelerates."
In this podcast I will share,
The key to training is to include "short internal measurements" or "baby steps" to achieving a goal.
Here are some facts to support the need for measuring your team and providing regular scoring to help them understand how well they are performing to the expectation.
75% of employees believe that feedback is valuable, according to Gallup
Employees want feedback. 75% of employees who do receive feedback feel that it is incredibly important to their work. 45% of respondents also value feedback from their peers and customers but less than 30% of respondents actually receive feedback on their work. Employees perform better when they know where they stand and when they know the score.

You probably remember this concept from your high school physics class, as it has been studied and analyzed since Sir Isaac Newton published his Three Laws of Motion almost 350 years ago. You may not know that this theory can also be applied to understand better how we can efficiently drive sales in our day-to-day management decisions.
New Sales Managers Start Learning Here
It starts with a basic idea: every decision you make is an action that elicits an expected reaction from your team.
You make your management decisions based on the results you want. Maybe your sales are below target, so you take a look at your KPIs and decide to encourage your team to work harder to improve their numbers. You expect this decision to result in improved numbers.
But what happens when you implement that decision, and you DON'T get those improved sales numbers you were looking for?
More effort, your action isn't producing more sales, the expected reaction. Why is this? The problem is focusing on the reaction instead of your action. This is the science of successful selling.
You may want to sit down for this part:
Sales is actually NOT all about the numbers.
Yeah, I know; I'll give you a second to recover from that. Shouldn't the whole point of sales be making actual sales? Well, yes, of course, if you didn't make the sales, then you wouldn't have the job you have. But it's more complicated than just that.
What is just as important, if not more important, than the sales themselves?
New Sales Managers Start Learning Here
The Behaviors that take place during the creation of those activities that create the numbers. What behaviors maximize the results of those numbers? If you focus on a sustainable way to make sales, then you'll find yourself with those improved numbers you were looking for.

No Matter What Business You're In, You're in the People Business. It does not matter if you are an Architect, Engineer, Retailer, Web Designer, Attorney, or Contractor. To reach your maximum level of personal success, you must be able to lead and manage people. In this podcast, I will share the 5 Habits of High Impact Managers. They are all a Real World approach to improving your skills and knowledge as a manager in leading those who you have surrounded yourself with. This podcast provides you with critical fundamentals that can be true game changers in your professional development.
What are the Five Habits
1. Setting New Employees Up for Success
2. Being an Inspiring Leader
3. Creating a High-Performance Culture
4. Being a Results-Driven Coach for Your Team
5. Retaining Your Best Employees
Most companies want to be successful. However, Organizational Culture is essential in creating an environment for success.
"Organizational Culture is a powerful element that shapes your work enjoyment, your work relationships, and your work process. This culture is something that you see through its manifestations by employees in your workplace." In 2000 Gallup started measuring workplace engagement in the U.S. Since then, Gallup has found that less than one-third of Americans are engaged in their jobs, defined as employees who are involved in, enthusiastic about, and committed to their work and workplace.
Creating an Organizational Culture requires leaders and managers with the right skillsets.
Interestingly, Gallup also found that managers who do not possess the right talent for the job are hired 82% of the time. That's shocking! It makes sense that 58% of the millennials say "quality of manager" is extremely important to them when applying for a new job. The adverse effects of managers without proper training are usually extensive. It impacts their subordinates as well as the company's bottom line.
To new managers in the audience. Please listen to this and take note. These are all quickly learned through my online training program. Check out this link for details.

In today's podcast, I will share with you how to build trust with your team through effective communication. There's this element to being an effective leader and effective manager that is so often missing. It's about effective communication or what I call Results-Driven communication.
It comes down to the fact that many managers are not truly in touch with their employees. They've not achieved at this level with they're employees the level of trust required to achieve the results, productivity, engagement, etc.
Want to Improve Your Communications Skills? Start Here
It's not that they don't have a relationship and communicate frequently. It's that they don't communicate well or communicate in a way that is effective between the manager, the employees, and the organization by that lack of effective conduit of communication between the employees and them the manager.
They're missing out on a ton of information, suggestions, and feedback that I know personally has a negative effect on their management effectiveness. It was very beneficial to me back in my old corporate world. And I just want anybody that's willing to open their minds up a little bit, expose themselves a tad to some developmental feedback to listen to today's show.
And you're gonna pick up some tips on effective communication that will help you become much better as a leader. Really effective leaders utilize multiple approaches, most of which I'll share today. Ones that just completely changed their game once practiced and utilized in their daily leadership activities.

So you've been promoted to a new management role: Congratulations! As a supervisor, you're now accountable for employee retention, achieving company goals, hiring new employees, executing action plans, and most of all being effective at managing people through earning respect and gaining leadership skills.
So many managers are forced to learn to manage a team through a trial and error approach. This leads to many potential pitfalls and mistakes.
Every manager messes up now and then because, in most cases — they're human. (Honestly, some we're still not sure about.) Good managers respond with grace and professionalism and immediately put plans in place to correct the mistake. Unfortunately, many new managers don't. If you're a new manager just starting, you often don't have the experience to do the same thing. And there are certain mistakes almost every new manager makes. So how do you avoid them?
Fortunately, in this podcast, I share the most common mistakes new managers make and the steps you can take to work your way around them.
To start out on the right foot in your new leadership role, you need to know many things you must do but also what NOT to do.
You undoubtedly wouldn't be in this new management position if you didn't have great skills going for you already. To strengthen your leadership aptitude, avoid making any of these common big mistakes new managers make.
Research conducted by CEB shows that 60 percent of new managers fail in the first 24 months of their new position. Let's make sure that you don't fall into that category!
The main reason why most new managers fail is that they were never properly trained to manage.

Who is running you? Are you running things, or are things running you? I'm going to talk about some easy delegation tips that, although they're easy, they're tough to implement.
This podcast is excellent for overworked, stressed-out, frustrated executives and managers who have entirely given up on a healthy work-life balance. But wait for it. Maybe there's a way of having less stress, less pressure, and fewer distractions and surprises during the day.
I'm going to talk about some ways for you today to take control of your workload in a way that is truly the only way to manage your responsibilities to a level where the job or your responsibilities aren't running you.
You'll have to get uncomfortable to learn to be a better delegator.
But I'm going to share some really great tips with you today that I know work. I've been training this for years, and I know it has changed lives, and I've got the testimonials to prove it. I will share some great tips to help start the process of changing who runs your day.
It's tough for many people to do, and that's delegating. You can't do everything on your own without some degree of personal sacrifice. So come on, find someone who can help you.
The most significant barrier for owners, executives, and managers to start delegating the workload is thinking about it. Oh my God. It's an additional task. It's more work to have to train. Yeah, it will slow you down, but just for a short period; this is a short-term investment for a long-term gain.
And like Ricky, Bobby said, sometimes you have to slow down to go fast, look at it as an investment of your time with proper investment in the right person. You'll be running more quickly than ever.

Let me get right to today's topic. We're going to talk about the high R O I for investing in your people today, which I will share with you.
The hows and the whys to making this a priority in your company because it's going to pay you back better than just about anything you can do. However, from the get-go, I have to warn you. It starts at the top. Now let's talk about the ROI of people practices. It's, it's tough to articulate, the actual return on investment.
It's challenging. Cause unlike other departments in the organization, the output of the people team isn't directly tied to business outcomes and has few measurable results. Because of this, it's tough to demonstrate the absolute value of investing in your talent or your talent practices.
However, even minor improvements in hiring, onboarding, and managing talent can result in significant ROI for the business. So in today's show, I will walk you through several key steps and propose a transformation to help you achieve better clarity. Understanding is the ROI of investing in your people.
So you, as the CEO or the leader of your team, you're the one that's gotta make the changes. It's a mindset change, and it starts at the top. It's a transformation you must make as boss, leader, and owner.
In this podcast, you'll learn my transformational triangle, A Transformation Approach, which provides you the step-by-step educational strategy and support through coaching. And I'm going to share with you the mindset performance technique. That's going to create a new you. Then as a better leader, you, in turn, will significantly impact your company's performance.
This topic is just one of the steps to understanding how to transform yourself into a great leader. They're the great leader you want to be.
What I'm sharing with you today is what I've seen, what I've experienced, and what I've done for multiple decades. And for sure, understand engagement is not something you legislate or delegate. It's a lifestyle, a lifestyle change, and like diets that usually don't work because they're all mentally a short-term fix.

In this podcast, I will share one of the fundamental best practices that anyone managing a sales team must have and utilize. So there's a right way and a wrong way. And today's show will be on the right way to deploy the best practice of meetings with your sales team. In particular, I advocate having weekly and monthly one-on-one meetings with each sales team member. Here's why.
Meeting with salespeople is very often either ignored or done very, very, very poorly. I will share how to conduct a proper one-on-one meeting with each of your salespeople.
It would help if you were very disciplined to get the sales results that you desire from your sales staff. You have to be personally very disciplined about holding a mandatory weekly one-on-one meeting with each salesperson.
Want to Gain Better Results From Your Sales Team?
Now there are a lot of eyes rolling right now, again, because how in the world am I going to find the time to sit down with every salesperson weekly? Let me tell you, by the time I'm done with this, if I haven't convinced you that this is time well spent, then I've done a pretty lousy job today.
I've seen the best sales managers on the planet do this and see the impact and results of following this process of weekly one-on-one meetings. I'm going to give you the steps and the approaches today. You're going to learn something. If you stick with me, I promise you. This is good.
It's going to be good for you and good for your sales team. And even if you're just a functional sales manager, one that doesn't have the title of sales manager, you're responsible for the sales team. It would help if you listened to this.
Become a Better Sales Manager with Our Course and Coaching
As a functional sales manager, The business owner, the COO, or the general manager, who's responsible for the sales team, you really need to listen to this because I will be able to give you information and education that you probably never had before. You're probably doing things incorrectly.
Especially if you're a sales manager, this is very important, high-impact information for you today.
Allow me to give you some ways to correct your course on this.

This podcast is on a solution to a widespread everyday workplace challenge. And that's getting the working dynamics; some people call it culture. I'm calling it dynamics, all into alignment.
A fundamental part of making these dynamics results-driven is the level of respect the management and executive team has within your organization for each other.
What is respect? The dictionary says that respect id to regard to feel and display deferential regard for that person. To have a high level of esteem or value for that person.
What's interesting to me is that, by definition, respect doesn't involve liking someone. Hmm? Like is not contained. In the definition of respect, you don't have to like somebody to respect somebody, and anybody that's worked with me in the past and has heard me say that when we're working with difficult people, you got to find a way to find the inner value of that, individual and find ways within yourself to be able to respect this person, but don't have to like him.
We won't don't run roughshod over them. We feel regard for that person, meaning we are capable of experiencing what they're feeling, whether or not we agree with their conclusions or even their actions.
Want to Align Your Company?
If we value that person, meaning we acknowledge their worth, their contribution, their value as a person, and the worth of their contributions to the organization. And we can have respect for that person. And respect is a key component of workplace alignment and company dynamics, especially with the top executives.
Listen and learn more about displaying and EARNing respect and the value it brings your company and team.
