This months Cabaret room features a 23 year old artist by the name of Samara Joy. We also feature one of the oldest artists Sheila Jordan who is still singing and performing at the fabulous age of 95!

We also have tracks from likes of Catherine Russell and it goes without saying we have to honour the late Tony Bennett.

In this months Cabaret Room Sondheim followers should be pleased as Broadway star Melissa Errico sings two of her classic songs, jazz pianist Monty Alexander livens up the pace with a Anthony Newley gem and singers Liz & Ann Calloway go "live".

We also feature a track from the fabulous Thelma Ruby, as she celebrating her 98th birthday!

In this month's Cabaret Room, Laurie asks "Have you heard of the singers Marcus Goldhaber, Angela Verbruggue or Karen Oberlin ?" Some of the many artists UK radio fails to play. Fear not though, as you can hear them right here on The Cabaret Room.

This months podcast also features a new re-issue from jazz singer Stacy Kent that is just a delight.

This months Cabaret Room is very different to all the previous podcasts in that it features just two performers and is all about their unique musical partnership.  Jazz singer Claire Martin has just released a new album I Watch You Sleep with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra that is dedicated to the late singer/composer Richard Rodney Bennett.

There is also (for the first time) an interview with both of them about cabaret music and what it means to them.

The art of the cabaret song performance is the basis of The Cabaret Room.

There are some excellent examples of that in this months podcast from

singer Curtis Stigers whose appearance at Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club has been sold out for some time. Roseanna Vitro a wonderful and expressive jazz performer sings in the bijou Mezzrow club in New York, while in the Piano Room a first time appearance from Scottish pianist Brian Kellock is a thrill and Claire Martin and her late partner Richard Rodney Bennett leave a possible hint of something that might happen later ?

Among the highlights this month in The Cabaret Room look out for Samara Joy  and her new album, she is a former winner of the Sarah Vaughan Vocal Competition.  There are some seasonal songs from Curtis Stigers and Meg Flather plus some excellent jazz piano from Roland Hanna.

In this month's podcast Barbra Streisand has a new album out that might surprise you when you discover when it was recorded. British singer Lianne Carroll sings a Stevie Wonder song adding her own individual touch. There is an appropriate song from the pen of Noel Coward about the weather and a couple of visits to The Piano Bar and find out who had one of the longest residencies in an iconic New York cabaret club than anyone else.

In this month's Cabaret Room you can expect to hear songs from The Great American Songbook with such artists as Catherine Russell, Dominic Aldis and Mel Torme.  

Barb Jungr though is a fine interpreter of songs by Jacques

Brell, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. 

This month's Album of the Month, by unknown singer Iris Festenstei, might intrigue a few. She has been retired for some time now but has

just released a  surprising "new" album.
