  • Caffeinated Thought of the Day: Apostasy and Mainline Christians
We have a lot of problems in our nation at present, and I hear a lot of Christians place the blame for this on the church for its failure to be salt and light to the culture. Now, I don’t dispute that the church has a lot of problems, but if you are going to blame it for our current troubles you need to go back a century. Liberalism swallowed up virtually every mainline Christian denomination in the 1920s. The cardinal doctrines of the faith such as the deity of Christ and the virgin birth were cast aside. It took a few generations for this apostasy to wreck the spiritual foundation of the culture, but eventually the destruction was complete. We now live in a post-Christian culture, and the present Evangelical church, for all of its problems, isn’t primarily to blame. That ship sailed a long time ago.

  • Caffeinated Thought of the Day: Immigration & Multiculturalism
Immigration and multiculturalism are two of the most hotly debated subjects of our day. We are frequently told that there is “strength in diversity”, and we are also frequently told that people who have deep concerns about our current immigration policy are bigots and nativists. But Liberals in our country seem to be bent on repeating the self destructive mistakes of Europe. Look, in order for any nation to exist and thrive long term it must ordinarily have four things: One, it must have defined, controlled borders. Two, a common language. Three, a common culture, and four, a common religion upon which that culture is based. We used to have those things. It’s just plain silly to think that we are somehow stronger without them.

Also, Judicial Watch released new State Department documents, including previously unreleased email exchanges in which former Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin provided influential Clinton Foundation donors special, expedited access to the Secretary of State.
Also, more than half of the people outside the government who met with Hillary Clinton while she was serving as Secretary of State gave money to the Clinton Foundation, either personally or through or companies or groups, according to a review of State Department calendars released to the Associated Press.
The guys also discuss news that Sunni extremists are infiltrating the United States with the help of alien smugglers in South America and are crossing U.S. borders with ease, according to a U.S. South Command intelligence report.
Then, bucking against conservative Christian tradition advising against extra-marital sex, the Rev. Bromleigh McCleneghan, an associate pastor at Union Church of Hinsdale in Illinois, says single Christians can have sex as long as it’s “mutually pleasurable and affirming.” Wha???
Also a new report debunks much of the media narrative on gender and sexual orientation.

  • Caffeinated Thought of the Day: Democrat Schizophrenia Over Sexual Identity
Andy Alexander is an acquaintance of mine that recently wrote something quite profound. Noting the schizophrenia of the Democrat party where sexual identity is concerned, Andy wrote that Democrats were the only group of people that could be excited about their first female nominee for president, while simultaneously claiming that gender is a meaningless social construct that ought to be rejected as a relic of history. Andy was spot-on, of course. How can you possibly celebrate the achievements of a particular sex if the distinctions between the sexes are irrelevant or non-existent? So much for Hillary Clinton shattering a “glass ceiling”. After all, that sort of thing only exists in the minds of people that still connect gender to biology.

He is also the executive producer of his latest film, The Atheist Delusion, which we discuss.
Shane and Brian also discuss Hillary Clinton’s interview with the FBI, and what she revealed. What does the shake-up with the Trump campaign mean and will it impact the election? Also, was Trump’s apology enough to turn things around?
Plus the State Department admits that the cash payment to Iran was tied with their prisoner’s release. Then U.S. Olympic swimmers  Ryan Lochte and James Feigen face charges of false reporting of a crime in Brazil. Asylum seekers in Germany refuse to work. Also, why is the flooding in Louisiana not getting the media attention it deserves, and why isn’t President Obama receiving criticism for not visiting the state? Plus, a school district in North Carolina has lost its ever-loving mind.
