Lauren Terrazzano was a Newsday reporter, and loved her work, writing about many social issues that most journalists overlook. But Lauren's biggest story came when she was diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 36. She decided to put a human face on this often-misunderstood disease by chronicling her personal battle with lung cancer in her New York Newsday column “Life, with Cancer.” Lauren pulled no punches when it came to the disease and sadly 8 months after her diagnosis she passed away. Mel sits down with Lauren's father Frank Terrazzano.
