It would be an understatement to say that this is not an easy time for small businesses.  

 

Bryon Gottfredson is a well known business owner in my hometown of Edson, AB  who’s really felt the effects of the Covid restrictions.

 

His uphill battle over the past 14 months is not one you hear much of in today's mainstream media but his story needs to be heard.  

 

Let’s give Bryon the floor because I believe he deserves it.

This is the first time Patti Swoboda has shared her surprising story on a platform like this.

 

There’s always more to a person than we realize.   Learning more about Patti has made me appreciate her friendship, dedication and struggles that much more. 

 

Although Patti’s growing up journey was difficult, it has contributed to her becoming the wonderful friend, coach, wife and mother that she is today.

No matter where you look, political agendas are rampant in our news sources.

My guest this week on the Carla Rand Show sheds some light specifically on the lies surrounding Alberta oil. 

Janine Wildshut has her PHD in microbiology and has worked as an environmentalist in the oil sector for 12 years.  

Janine went into the oil industry to clean up “dirty oil” but was pleasantly surprised at what she found. Reality and media often don’t align. Her goal is to spread the real facts about oil in our province. 

I learned so much during this conversation. Janine does an excellent job at laying out the information in a way thats easy to understand. Every Albertan should educate themselves  about our oil industry so we can have intelligent dialogue about facts instead of the current myths surrounding Alberta energy.
