Mark and Jennair Geradot met in the summer of 1986, while Jennair was working at a Taco Bell in Indiana. The two would go on to date, and would marry in 1990 (with the exception of one break up when Mark had found himself smitten with another girl, but Mark had made her the promise that he would never hurt her again. After 24 years of marriage that, for the most part was loving, but was peppered with bad times, epic fights and financial struggles, the couple was about to move from South Carolina to Delaware, where Mark had been offered a creative director position at The University of Delaware, Jennair would stay in South Carolina for 45 days, to get their affairs in order, and lease out their home. During this time, Mark found himself really enjoying the company of his much younger boss, Mereditch Chapman, and Meredith was very impressive, so who could blame him? The only proble was, Mark found her impressive in more aspects than just professionally.... 

When Jennair joined her husband in Delaware, she knew instantly that something about her husband had changed, and she asked him point blank "Is it Meredith?" which Mark would initially deny, but Jennair became a woman obsessed, she would sew recording devices into his clothing, put trackers on both of their cars, she paid a company to have his phone cloned, and she would even buy a DNA kit.  Jennair was determined to try to get her life back, and if she was unable to, sadly, she would ensure that Meredith wouldn't have it either.
