This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Littleton, Colorado, to discuss the tragic case of Olivia Gant. Olivia was a little girl who became the victim of Munchausen's Syndrome By Proxy. Her mother, Kelly Turner, began blogging about her daughter's fake illnesses, and bullied countless surgeons at the Children's Hospital of Colorado into performing dangerous and unnecessary procedures on little Olivia. Kelly collected thousands of dollars in charitable donations, gifts, and state benefits on behalf of her "sick" daughter. In the end, Olivia passed away after being starved to death in hospice. No one who should have recognized the horrors that Kelly was inflicting stepped up to save the little girl.
