There aren't enough women in the sport of foiling but older women even less so. I had the opportunity to chat to Tomoko, a serious go getter who has been chasing the DW SUP Foil dream ever since modern foiling was re invented and absolutley crushing it now. We talked about the girls she foils with in Maui who inspire her, Annie Reickert, Kathy Shipman, Andrea Moller, Devin Blish, Mel Michelitsch, Gabriella Bella, Lily Buden, as well as Paige Alms, Olivia Jenkins and Michelle Crompton who are just getting into it.

We also discuss the gear progression that has made her life way easier as well as the flatwater foil coaching she does with Jeremy Riggs plus the need to pick and choose the DW runs and temper the froth down every now and then to maximise her longevity.
