On September 17, Darrell Castle participated in a Constitution Day Town Hall where he answered questions submitted by campaign supporters from around the country. The event was held at the Stone Castle Hotel in Branson, Missouri.

Today is Friday July 29, 2016 and on today’s podcast we are going to discuss the Constitution Party and where we go from here. In many ways the Constitution Party is a mirror of America which was founded by people with a youthful, energetic, attitude. Those were people who left stagnant and oppressive Europe to create a life for themselves in a new world. They wanted to be free to choose their own pursuit of happiness. That freedom allowed them to carve a nation out of a wilderness, a nation based on principles that allowed the most prosperity for the most people in history. Today, America doesn’t seem so young anymore. We seem older, more fearful, less willing to explore, to risk danger. Even the young are frightened of the future which seems to hold grim economic realities for them. There is an attitude of pessimism rather than optimism and that is very un-American. We as Americans have always been optimistic, especially about our children’s future which we always have expected to be brighter than our own but now a majority of parents say they don’t expect their children to do as well economically as they have done. What has caused this change of attitude in America? The comparison of America’s founding with that of the Constitution Party may seem like a stretch but there are many similarities. When Howard Phillips wanted to start a new political party he did it because life in the Republican Party was stagnant and oppressive for him. He recruited the rest of us and we launched the Party with a youthful belief that we would prevail and eventually supplant the Republican Party. Today, however, many of us in the Constitution Party don’t seem so young anymore. I’m not just talking about those who are no longer young in age, but I also mean those who are no longer young at heart. There are 25 year olds with old attitudes toward life. They seem unexcited about being alive and unexcited about the future and there are plenty of 85 year olds who look at each day as an exciting gift from God. In terms of the constitution Party then, what is the difference. I submit that the difference is a vision of victory. When we started the Party we all believed that success was possible so we committed our lives to the project. We all worked hard, we gave our money, we raised money, and we recruited new members. Now it seems that we have lost that vision of victory that we originally had. In other words, many of us no longer believe that victory is possible. Howard used to tell us that “to achieve victory, first you must seek it.” Today I think some of us have lost sight of the belief that victory is something we are seeking. When that happens people just go through the motions of what they are required to do without any real enthusiasm or effort. The audiences that I speak to sometimes remind me of some churches I’ve been in where the members have been in the service of the church so long they just want to sit and let someone else do it. The irony is that this election cycle presents us with the greatest opportunity in the history of the Constitution Party and perhaps in history period. The Democrats and Republicans have handed us the chance we’ve been waiting on for 24 years. There are so many dis-satisfied people that many people who previously would not give us the time of day are coming our way. People sense that something is desperately wrong in this country. Perhaps they understand that they may be living in the declining empire era of American history. If you use ancient Rome as an example you should be able to see the pattern. Rome started as a monarchy and evolved into a Republic just as America did. After many years the Roman Republic degenerated to the point where strong Caesars took control and the Republic became an empire.

WHY AM I RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES Hello this is Darrell castle with today’s podcast. Today is Wednesday, July 20, 2016 and on today’s podcast I am going to answer a question I am asked quite often, and that is, why are you doing this.  Sometimes the questioner precedes the question with a statement such as “since you know you can’t win, why are you doing this?” That is a question I ask myself quite often and Joan and I have had many long discussions about it.  In answer to the statement, I don’t accept it as true because I am a believer in God and I choose not to impose my limits on Him.  If He can create the heavens and the earth as the Bible says he did, then He can determine who wins this election. The second reason that I don’t believe that I can’t win is that people have a chance to hear me and then decide for themselves how they want this country to go, although the mass media tries to ignore me and shut me out of any coverage.  More important than the news they speak incorrectly about or with bias about is the news they choose to simply ignore. If the major networks reported on my nomination and carried the Constitution Party convention live, carried my speech live, reported every public word I said with bated breath, and then said “If he gets enough access to the 50 ballots he could be a real force.”  Now that would change things, but that did not happen. What can happen though is that the American people don’t have to follow the media like a Pavlovian experiment. They could actually do something different and when we all wake up after the election, I could be President and then everything that we have accepted as normal for many years would be different. Now, back to the central question of why I am running for President.  It’s because I believe that everything I hold dear is at risk.  I told a reporter once that I am trying to save my country, trying to save the Republic but that doesn’t go far enough. Civilization itself is at risk.  The civilization going back to the Magna Carta is at risk. Let’s say that the Magna Carta represents the rule of law before the Constitution was adopted.  The concept that the law applies to all and that from the king to the average citizen, all are subject to it and no one, president or citizen is above it came from that document and was then enshrined in the Constitution. That concept of the rule of law, is dead or dying right now.  That it is dead was made clear to us unequivocally by James Comey’s press conference about Mrs. Clinton’s email scandal.  There are now two sets of laws; one for the elite and one for us. I would use my Presidency to re-establish respect for the rule of law.  The Constitution itself is dying and will be dead in less than four months.  Mrs. Clinton obviously has no respect for it and Mr. Trump apparently doesn’t even know what it is.  He gives it no regard whatsoever and recognizes no limits on his power should he be elected. My election would put a halt to that continuing increase in authoritarian government.  I run to limit the power of government in general and the Presidency specifically, rather than to increase it.

Darrell Castle argues and presents evidence for the proposition that our nation may have reached a state of terminal decline. TERMINAL DECLINE: the life cycle of nations and how we can determine when they reach a state of terminal decline. Nations have life spans like people, and their life spans are often observable. A nation begins its existence and its rise, based on a shared determination and a strong work ethic. These things propel its rise to a high level of productivity which in turn creates prosperity. A greater and greater abundance is enjoyed by the nation’s population, which leads the population to become easy prey to empty political claims that largesse from the state can and will enrich all. The largesse results in complacency, which then turns into apathy. When a nation reaches its peak, a majority of the people will have traded in their work ethic for the un-achievable promise of ever-increasing government largesse. At that point the decline is terminal, and set in stone. The population never realizes that the largesse to which it is addicted is, in effect, the reason for the ever increasing need for more and more largesse because the declining work ethic has destroyed prosperity. Once this has occurred the work ethic continues in decline and the nation continues into a death spiral. A nation reaches terminal decline not just economically but in many ways. Moral values, sound principles of economics, productivity, an independent media and basic freedoms, once taken for granted, all decline together. Education levels decline to the point where the only things being published whether in electronic media or print media are more empty promises, along with empty theories to support them. The classic mistake of empowering the government to take charge and make changes usually results in the weight of the nanny state’s boot on the neck of the economy, which causes the economy to lose its vibrancy and its way. These things work to the detriment of all except those directly connected to or employed by the government. The government also recognizes this and tries to employ more and more, and even imports more and more, people to become dependent on its largesse. The nation peaks and heads to eventual collapse as government actions continue to feed the decline. The question then becomes what happens after the crash? Will the nation be able to just hit the reset button and start over? Will new James Madisons and Thomas Jeffersons emerge to restart the process? The decline envelops everything and all aspects of socio-economic and political existence are included. The nation must be completely rebuilt from scratch. Moral certitude, which once destroyed, is virtually impossible to rebuild. A sound economic foundation, a return to productivity, and a solid work ethic, require basic freedoms to drive them. If it were even possible to accomplish these things it would require generations. Nations normally are never able to return to their former levels of prominence. Some of the things that our society faces which have led me to this conclusion are everyday news. Many people seem unable or unwilling to keep two thoughts simultaneously in their heads. For example, it is quite possible to oppose the police murdering citizens and also oppose citizens murdering police at the same time. The security system that holds true in America is trust, and that trust plays out as legitimacy, which makes it possible to govern a huge nation mostly by consent. We have played the racial, religious, etc., card one time too often, and it is having results. It is not possible to set one group against another endlessly without serious consequences. Suddenly our fragility is so obvious that it looks as if we might morph into an unrecognizable America at any moment. Rule from above through dissension below is tearing apart the very fabric of American society. After Dallas where do we go and what do we do? We have created a militarized police force and ...

Darrell Castle discusses how the rule of law and the right of the people to govern themselves are in grave danger. THE REAL MEANING OF THE CLINTON DECISION Hello, this is Darrell Castle with today’s podcast. Today is Friday, July 8, 2016, and on today’s podcast we are going to discuss the death not only of the rule of law, but of the people’s ability to govern themselves.  I’m not going to rehash the information that you already know about James Comey’s press conference in which he said essentially that there was evidence of broken laws, which would have been prosecuted in others but not in one of our Royalty.  That is a rough paraphrase but accurate.  What I intend to discuss is what the actions of Mrs. Clinton, and what Mr. Comey said about those actions, really mean. What does all this really mean for those of us living in 2016 America?  It means that after 800 years of Western Civilization, a Civilization that lifted mankind from the dark ages and set him on an ascendant path is dead.  The Magna Charta, written 800 years ago and signed as a compact between kings and ordinary citizens, contained the concept that no one was above the law and that the law applied equally to King and citizen alike. All that is dead now and it was explained to us quite clearly on national television.  There are now just two classes of people in America, the Royalty who rule us, and all the minions who struggle under their burden.  The fact is, though, that all Mr. Comey’s announcement did was remind us of a fait accompli. Self-rule died in the West some time ago and now the form of government is one of rule by a tiny elite. We have to be reminded from time to time, otherwise we might get above our collective places We are told constantly that we are a democracy as evidenced by the elections that we hold periodically. That is all given as evidence that we are still a land where, as Mr. Jefferson put it, governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed.  But, the reality is that we are governed without consent by an entrenched ruling class of self-anointed intellectual elite.  Our new ruling class is at least partially hereditary, globalist and anti-nationalist, very rich, anti-democratic, and malignant. The philosophy to which the new rulers require strict adherence is globalism, which includes the destruction of the middle class across all western countries by shipping production and its jobs to low wage countries such as China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and so forth.  Any and all measures are used to destroy the sovereignty of all nation-states, especially those in the West which were once the very bastion of Christian values and the Civilization those values built.  These things are accomplished in part by constantly expanding centralized state power as in the various regional governments such as the European Union, and with the unlimited growth of federal power. The second leg of our ruler’s stool is massive, unlimited, uncontrolled immigration from third world countries, especially Muslim countries. This further weakens nations with a Christian Civilization background by importing a cultural, racial, and religious population that will not assimilate and is often openly hostile to the host country. The third leg is the suppression of free speech or politically-correct demands on thought and expression. Social media in all its forms, workplace intimidation, intimidation in higher education along with career threatening or ending insults, and slanderous accusations all suppress the ability or even the desire to express a non-collectivist thought.  All must swear allegiance to the thought police who control our desire for multi-culturalism, multi-racialism, anti-nationalism, massive immigration.  All must further express disdain and even hatred for one’s own culture nation, religion (if it’s Christianity), and all must say that Islam is a religion of peace.

Darrell Castle gives his thoughts on Brexit including the future of self government in the United States and the world. Transcript… Hello this is Darrell Castle with today’s pod cast. Today is Friday July 1, 2016 and on today’s pod cast we are going to discuss the popular referendum (commonly known as Brexit) recently held in the United Kingdom in which the British people by a vote of 51.9% to 48.1% voted to leave the European Union. The vote was non binding of course, and Parliament has the final say but this was still perhaps the most significant referendum held in Europe in many, many years. As an anti-globalist and someone who values the independence of his own country, I took a special delight in the vote. The vote gave a sense of encouragement to independence minded people around the world. Finally we have a victory. Finally something we can point to and tell the self appointed elite intellectuals who run the world that there are more of us than there are of them. It was a historic restoration of the Old World’s ancient liberties. Perhaps it was a restoration of that great charter of liberty, the Magna Charta. It was certainly the loudest repudiation of the collectivist policies of the new socialist world with its growing leviathan of rule by remote, unelected bureaucrats, who continually work to subvert the democratic process. Perhaps I am so giddy I am exaggerating the effect but I don’t think so. I know that the elite are not finished and as we speak they work in dark cabal to undo the vote and put the masses back where they belong. Foreign Policy Magazine, the publication of the Council on Foreign Relations carried a column by member James Traub who argued that the elite need to “rise up” against the “mindlessly angry” ignorant masses in order to prevent globalization from being derailed by the populist revolt that led to Brexit and the rise of Donald Trump. Mr. Traub went on to say that Brexit was a citizen’s revolt and an utter repudiation of bankers and economists and an example of how extremism has gone mainstream. He called for the establishment Parties in Europe and the United States to combine their efforts to “keep out the nationalists.” Mr. Traub’s tone in the article was one of utter contempt toward those “ignorant masses” who still love their countries, their values and their religions. He described the pro-Trump people as “know nothing” voters and he sneers down his patrician nose at the voters in Poland who express concern for their values and tradition. Further globalization he said will pit the poor and non-white marginal people against working-class whites or as he calls them angry fist shakers. So Mr. Traub, a Harvard graduate from a super-billionaire family that owns the Bloomingdale’s chain of luxury department stores does not know or care how immigration, globalization, job off-shoring, etc. impact ordinary people. He and his elite friends are completely disconnected from reality but instead of humility they just double down on contempt driving many into the arms of Trump and ensuring many more Brexit like votes. I’m very glad that he said what he said because it draws the battle lines and lets us know for sure what’s at stake in this war that we are finally starting to recognize. These elite seek everything we have including our values, tradition, religion, freedom, way of life, privacy, and even our kids. While all this was going on the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States met in Ottawa to “deepen their economic ties in light of uncertainty in the European Union. All this talk from the elite rulers tells me that the democratic process is dead. We, that is the masses are not qualified to decide anymore. Mr. Enrique Pieta Nieto, President of Mexico openly called for the nations of Mexico, The United States and Canada to merge. Martin Schultz, President of the EU Parliament was quoted as saying; “It is not the EU philosophy that the crowd can decide its fate.
