With the realization that the mirror discovered in ep. 8 is the source of the goblins in the sewers, the Goblin Slayer disposes of it in the most boring fashion imaginable. And that pretty much sets the tone of the entire episode. The tamest outcomes comes to fruition as the ragtag group move on to their next adventure.

Faces are revealed and innocence is lost in the 8th episode of Goblin Slayer. Despite the episode ending in a massive fireball, not a single goblin was slain that day. Could it be that the series is finally moving on to bigger and better enemies?

The tables seem to be turned on the goblin slayers as they walk into a trap and sustain heavy injuries. The laws of storytelling dictates that no main character can die in episode 7, but that certainly doesn't stop a certain host of the podcast getting his hopes up.

Ep. 5 of Goblin slayer really didn't merit it's own podcast episode, so we merged it with the much more eventful ep. 6. The podcast is still decisively split in it's opinion of the show and that decisiveness will hopefully spark passionate future debates. As for the format, the weekly schedule will return as the show picks up pace.

Fall 2018 calls for another installment of our round table discussions. Ian, from Retro Anime Podcast @retroanime was kind enough to join us in our musings as we dissect the story of 4 girls trying to reach Antarctica. This was indeed a very welcome break form the current fantasy dominated fall anime season. ‏

As promised and only slightly delayed, The Casual Anime Podcast discuss director Yoshiaki Kawajiri's 2001 adaptation of Vampire hunter D. A hunt to catch a "Nobel" before he can turn the girl he has kidnapped quickly devolves into a Shakespearean tale of forbidden love and unlikely alliances.

Bloodsoaked and exhausted the show must go on. With this trajectory we are on a collision course for all out war within episode 6. Make sure to check out our episode on Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust too!

As 3 new players show up a reluctant and dysfunctional party is formed out of nowhere. Things certainly have to pick up pace as this episode was dialog-heavy and light on the action. Stay tuned for more variety content later this week.

Backstories and trigger warnings seem to be the chosen flavor of the week as the podcast is plagued with technical difficulties. As nothing mayor actually happens in the episode we are still no closer to determining the quality of this anime.

As a new season of anime is on the horizon The Casual Anime Podcast kicks it off with a weekly viewing of Goblin Slayer. With little to no prior knowledge of what is in store for us we give our usual uninformed opinions on what might be gearing up be one of the bigger shows of Fall 2018.
