When you spend seven years making an anime it's paramount it succeeds. Regrettably that was not the case for Studio Madhouse's immaculately crafted Redline. Hear us speculate the reasons why it didn't fill cinemas, and lament the fact that we will probably never see projects as ambitious ever again.

Coming of the hype of episode 15 it seems almost inconceivable that ep. 16 could fail to capitalize on any of it. This is truly the darkest timeline.

The podcast has a lot of praise for the 15th episode, and that is certainly a welcome change. This episode cashes in on all the pent-up feelings this show has accumulated over a 15 episode runtime. As the opening music is played over the final fightscene you somewhat lose the motivation to scrutinize this episode with a fine-tooth comb, and basically accepting that sometimes the whole can be a lot better than the sum of its parts.

The podcast makes a royale mess of analyzing Satoshi Kon's debut film, Perfect Blue. Maybe it's our punishment for making something that isn't Darling in the FranXX? Incidentally ep. 15 will be out Wednesday

Being three weeks delayed we cram episode 11, 12 and 13 into one incoherent podcast. Now that we are all caught up, our weekly format will resume as normal.

"When Pigs Fly " is a common figure of speech that might need some revision after watching this movie. Overall not Miyazaki's best work by any stretch, and certain childhood illusions were definitely shattered by this rewatch.
