In the second chapter of the story, Dr. Hyman explores what it means and feels to be black in America. JD challenges listeners to move past pain and anger in an effort to change the narrative of the country. JD explores the relationship between Black America and law enforcement and how basic accountability can solve many of the problems that exist within our law enforcement. JD also discusses a personal event that almost shattered his hope for equality.
