2020 has been a year that none of us saw coming but, in some ways, the year so many of us need? In this episode we take a moment to reflect back and give thanks for the lessons we've learnt, the progress we've made and also the big curve balls we didn't see coming. Take the journey with us!

In this week's episode we are joined by friend of the pod - Dara! We share our opinions of the term "women of colour". We discuss the contexts in which we would refer to ourselves as "women of colour" and the limitations of using the phrase in order to categorise all non-white people. We talk about gatekeeping blackness and how slippery the slope can be but how necessary it can be in some circumstances as well.

In this week's episode we try our hand at answering some dilemmas from the world of reddit. And we answer that now famous question "Am I the Asshole?"

We discuss the apparent difference in the treatment of men and women who get "cancelled". We talk cancel culture in the church and how that reconciles with the taught concepts such as grace, redemption and restoration.

In this episode we discuss EXPECTATIONS. We take a look at how our expectations of our significant other have changed over the years,  and how social media has got us wanting and expecting more from our partners.

In this week’s episode, we are joined again by our favourite DOCTOR @xavethefave to discuss porn. We talk about the porn industry and the effects it has on men and women when it comes to relating to one another. We also discuss the hit show “I May Destroy You” and what consent means in sexual relationships. 

Let’s discuss church hurt....This week, we get personal and passionate about our own journeys within the church, and how our relationship with the church has evolved over the years. We talk about how issues in the church can sometimes cause individuals to have a crisis in faith, grow distant from the church and with God. 

It’s Mental Health Awareness Month!! We thought it only fitting to be joined by Dr Xavier @xavethefave, a black male mental health doctor to help us discuss mental health.  In this week’s episode, we discuss the stigma around mental health and the differences amongst men and women when it comes to seeking help in African communities. We also discuss the rise in anxiety and the issues in society that are increasing mental health issues. Dr Xavier also weighs in on the sometimes problematic relationship between black men and their relationship to black women - are black men really our oppressors?

In this week‘s episode we talk about how we have navigated dealing with those who bring negative energy in our lives from our friends to our family members. We honestly examine our own toxic traits and whether we have ever been accused of being toxic in our relationships with others. We talk about whether we believe that forgiveness is really the best option in all relationships. 

In this episode we get personal about waiting until marriage. We discuss the preconceptions and misconceptions about our decision and whether it is realistic to wait until marriage before having sex. We talk about where this decision stems from, being tempted, the shame sometimes attached to waiting as well as navigating relationships and what sex means to us.
