Nick Sharara who’s in for Charlie today and Jose start the show discussing re-gifting items and how to re-gift like what is on the list of what’s good to re-gift and what’s not good to re-gift. He then leads into the story around Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney with him not getting a long term contract extension from the Texans and the situation in the front office and Head Coach Bill O’Brien. They both then get into the discussion of the disgusting trend of people licking the tops of ice cream tubs and a story of how 21% of 89 ice cream making facilities weren’t up to code. They finish off the first hour of the show falling back on the topic of re-gifting and nasty trends going around and Nick tells a story of what he did at Cici's pizza when he was a kid.

Nick then talks about how NBA players that are stars do not want to live in the shadow of other stars, him and Jose talk on what is going to happen to Russell Westbrook.  To finish off the final hour of the show Nick discusses the Astros and soon to be Hurricane Barry and how Louisiana supposed to get the worst of it.

He also gets into the Rookie Pete Alonso winning the Home Run Derby last night and leads into talking about the punishment for Astros' outfielder Jake Marisnick after his “Dirty Play”. Charlie then gets into the conversation about the new rosters in the NBA and comparing teams to the Rockets. He gets back into talking about the Home Run Derby and the fact that Pete Alonso was paid double his salary in one night after winning. He talks a little about the Astros and about Serena Williams moving onto the Semi-finals Wimbledon Tennis Tournament. Charlie ends the first hour talking about the NBA and more specifically the Rockets.

Speculates if this was a dirty play or just a pure accident. After the break, he talks about the history of the Houston Astros record after all-star breaks. They are on pace for a third straight 100 win season. The MLB trade deadline is in 3 weeks explains that the Astros need another starting pitcher to complete the team for contention.  Names the starting lineup for the MLB all-star game tomorrow.

What are the Astros going to do with their current contracts going forward? Verlander on pace to give up 45 home runs this year, prior to this year he has never gotten past 30.

He goes on to discuss how the Rockets don’t have very much going on in the summer league and not much to look at in it for Houston. Charlie talks about how the Astros should be looking for pitching before the deadline. Charlie finishes off the first hour talking about how Justin Verlander is practically a lock to be a hall of famer, and that he should be the AL starting pitcher for the All-Star game.
