Charlie starts the show by giving a little praise for Houston Texans’ general manager Brian Gaine for getting Demaryius Thomas and cutting Tyler Ervin yesterday then adding DeAndre Carter, who was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles. Charlie explains why Steelers/Panthers on Thursday Night Football is so important for the Texans. Charlie goes over all the Houston Astros’ losses to its staff, including hitting coach Dave Hudgens. Charlie previews the Rockets taking on the Russell Westbrook-less Oklahoma City Thunder. ESPN Insider Phil Steele joins Charlie for his weekly segment to talk about some of the games he likes this weekend.

Charlie kicks off the second hour talking about Texas A&M and Jimbo Fisher’s first year at College Station and also talks about Texas head coach Tom Herman’s year. Charlie says college football in Texas has zero relevance this season. Houston with a disappointing loss to SMU, TCU having a down year, Texas A&M and Texas having multiple disappointing losses. Charlie takes you around the NBA to preview some of the games tonight, including Rockets Carmelo Anthony returning to Oklahoma City. Charlie predicts the Golden State Warriors will lose some fan base when they move to San Francisco next season.

Charlie starts off the show with the news of Lance McCullers Jr.'s Tommy-John surgery. He breaks down what the Astros should do to cover his absence over the 2019 season. Several other Astros free agency moves are discussed including the impending loss of super-utility player, Marwin Gonzalez. Charlie also goes over the last few weeks of the college football season and how some conference championships play out heading in to the College Football Playoff.

In Hour 2, Charlie discusses baseball free agency more and what the McCullers Tommy-John surgery means for the Astros' rotation and who they could tap to fill in his role during the offseason. Charlie also goes over the commencement of the college basketball season and how he thinks some of these young players would fare in the NBA. Culturemap's Ken Hoffman joins Charlie to talk a multitude of subjects including the college football season and some baseball as well.

Charlie opens up the show talking about the Houston Rockets win over the Indiana Pacers to move to 4-5\. Charlie discusses what Oklahoma City Thunders Russell Westbrook’s injury means for the end of the Rockets road trip. He also previews college basketball’s opening night and contemplates whether or not Texas’ Shaka Smart’s salary allows him for another poor season. Charlie breakdowns down the Dallas Cowboys loss to the Tennessee Titans. How bad are the Cowboys? Charlie discusses former Cowboys’ quarterback Troy Aikman ripping the team and looks ahead to the Houston Texans’ schedule. The MLB finalists for its awards have been announced and Josh Reddick is going off on MLB voters and Charlie defends them.

Charlie opens the second hour and talks more NBA including wanting Russell Westbrook and his injury, Atlanta selling off its players and Rockets being 3-0 on its current road trip. Why isn’t Jason Garrett on the hot seat? Charlie plays Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones’ thoughts on the loss last night to the Tennessee Titans and calls the Cowboys a clown show. Charlie compares the Houston Texans’ schedule against the other AFC playoff contending teams. Charlie talks MLB free agents, including what Dallas Keuchel, Marwin Gonzalez and Charlie Morton may get in the open market and who else the Houston Astros may be able to target.

In Hour 1 of the show, Charlie recaps the weekend of sports. The Texans won over the Broncos, Alabama won over LSU, and the Rockets won a couple games over the weekend as well. Charlie goes over what the Texans win does for the team heading into their off week and how the team has been playing during their win streak. A key member of the Rockets coaching staff returns as well.

In Hour 2, Charlie talks more about the Texans win over the Broncos from the weekend. He also goes over the return of Jeff Bzdelik to the Rockets and what that could mean for the team moving forward.

Charlie starts off the first hour of the show with a look at the Nick Saban press conference and a discussion about what a win would mean for the Texans in Denver this upcoming weekend. Then, Charlie has a look at the Niners/Raiders game from last night and discusses whether Raiders are destined for the number one pick in the draft. Charlie is also joined by Denver post and Broncos beat writer Ryan O’Halloran. And finally, Charlie gives some background on his upcoming guest, the one and only Kareem-Abdul Jabbar, available in the second hour of the show.

Charlie starts the second hour of the show off with a College Football discussion with a look forward for the Longhorns and Aggies. Then Charlie is joined by the illustrious Kareem-Abdul Jabbar to talk basketball, civil rights, and his upcoming appearance at Jones Hall in Houston March 1st. Afterward, Charlie discusses Nick Saban’s joke in a press conference about electing to “kick ass” if he should win the coin toss. Charlie rounds out the hour with his Netflix viewing wish list as the new season of House of Cards comes out without Kevin Spacey.
